Beautiful stay & amazingly helpful staff.

We had another wonderful stay here.
JoyStay is exactly how it appears in the pictures, serene, beautiful , immaculately clean. It's an ideal family spot away from the bustling town.
Minh and family were extremely helpful in organising everything for our stay.

Definitely puts the joy into JoyStay!

Lovely hotel, very spacious and comfortable rooms and a charming appearance and location. The staff were amazing and incredibly helpful, outstanding hospitality and very good at making sure we knew how to get where we were going, also offering a taxi service for a small extra charge. Food is good and reasonably priced. The lemon tea is also incredible and the cup on arrival our first night was hugely appreciated!

Great homestay on Cat Ba Island, amazing host!

Positives:
Really cute little homestay located in the quieter part of Cat Ba (away from all the construction in the main town) and closer to the National Park so ideal for us!! Mr Minh was super friendly and helpful suggesting a whole itinerary for our 2 nights there which worked like a dream. We were also able to check in early and out late which was so much appreciated, and he helped with our onward transportation as well.
The accommodation, although basic, was clean and comfortable and we had the best nights sleep there in the quiet of the countryside.
Downsides: If I must nitpick, the only down side was the lack of a hot water tap at the washbasin and it didn't drain properly

A comfortable, quiet haven on Cat Ba

We spent three nights at Joystay in Cat Ba. The homestay is well located, away from the bustle of the town, and close to a small beach, with a bus stop nearby. The wooden cabins are very comfortable, with instant hot water for showering (something we appreciated in the slight chill of winter), AC and heater, and comfortable bed and mattress. It was spotlessly clean. Our host, Mr Minh, was wonderful. He arranged taxis, outings and bus transfers for us, and shared a lot of useful local knowledge. He was always around to greet us cheerfully at breakfast and when returning from an excursion. Breakfast was included in the room price and was good value. There is also a dinner menu available, with options for vegetarian, different types of meat, and various dishes. The quiet location meant that we could really "chill", while having easy access to the National Park and boat activities (not more than 15 minutes' drive by scooter or car). Guests can also hire scooters from Mr Minh to explore the area.

Very good stay very pleasant
Very friendly welcome, small typical bungalow
Quiet and far from the Works, which are from everywhere in the center
If we have to come back, it will be with pleasure
Location a few minutes from the center, but worth it
