The best hotel in the state of Merida!

The most cordial staff and most cordial management!
We were picked up at the airport by 3 staffs from the hotel, 1 car for our luggage and 1 car for my wife and me. The driver of our car was not just the driver, he was the general manager of the property, Mr. Oscar ! A hotel which overwhelmed me of it’s sheer spacious and generous rooms and even the corridor was so large that you could pass thru with 3 hotel beds at the same time!
I booked the hotel directly, as I had problems doing so with booking.com. The communication with the reservation staff was always swift and impeccable. Mrs. Juselyn and Mrs. Rosas were always of assistance to answer all my questions.
I did not have to pay a deposit in advance, as the staff probably recognized that we are serious about our reservation. I paid there with US dollars, and with Euros, as well credit card.
We went to see the Catatumbo lightnings, and went up to Pico Espejo. This is the best hotel in that state, and the most convenient! It is located between the airport and the bus station. The hotel has a huge super market and a shopping mall. And important, there is a pharmacy, and a beauty salon too! The owner, Mr. Junior is even often to be seen in the hotel area, to ensure all is fine. Mr. Junior too, is a very friendly person, not one of the snobbish type of rich people!
If you want to see the lightnings of Catatumbo Maracaibo, stay et the Juniotel, as it is much closer than Merida. If you stay In Merida, you loose each way more than 1 hour driving! They also organize tours to Catatumbo, at a lower prize than most others.
The staff, the owner, and the hotel get my highest recognition!
