Dirty and in a state of disrepair

Yuck. We left at first light after the first night there! The cabin was to disgusting remain. We came here expecting a rustic cabin, not a run down, ill maintained dump.
All interior and exterior surfaces were dusty, marked and stained. All of the fake leather surfaces on the furniture was so worn off it was impossible to sit on or clean.
There was kleenex stuffed into the loft ceiling to plug up multiple holes. Why were there holes in the celing and why were they not fixed but just stuffed with tissue? Can't insects and vermin get in through those tissue stuffed holes? We did not know, and spent the night wondering if any could get in.
An electric outlet was physically broken. There was numerous marks, holes and stains on walls both inside and outside. There was no towel rack in the bathroom, only mounting brackets where it should have been. Where do we put our towels. TV didn't work. Unemptied ash tray from previous tenants on porch.
The "front office" was not an office but a shack that literally had junk in it. Another sign that the property is poorly maintained.
I also booked the place specifically because it was directly on the river and there were numerous photos of people enjoying the water during their stay. However, the property had no direct access or path to the stream except through prickly brush. Therefore we couldn't even enjoy the one thing we came for.
The room was also hot as the ac didn't work well. This made sleeping almost impossible.
I cannot believe they charged over $350 per night for this awful, awful place. No refunds given even after I pointed out the terrible condition this place is in. Instead, they offered me an "upgrade." Um, this was one of the most expensive cabins on the site. I doubt there was anything less gross. Even without a refund I am so, so glad I left.

Don't stay here unless you like dust, spiders, hot rooms in summer, unsafe electrical switches, or unsafe access areas.

When we arrived at the cabin (#10) by the road we had to use flashlights to get the lights on inside, the dimmer switch knob was missing with just a post for controls. The cabin was hot with window air conditioning units which we turned on after our arrival. The room with the bunk beds had a window unit but the spiders had claimed the controls. There were no screens on the windows or they were ripped so opening windows to get a breeze was out. The ladder to the bunk bed room was not that safe and unless you had someone over six feet tall you couldn't open the hatch. The entire cabin was lacking in cleanliness. The power went out 30 minutes after our arrival, we were told that the power was out everywhere. We were able to see lights down the road so we left and wound up driving to through the night to our next destination. Complaints were given to the manager who said he would forward them to the owners but the were unanswered.

DO NOT STAY HERE

We stayed here with our family in July for a trip to the Sequoia National Park. First, the price of the rental does not match the condition of the property. Yes, the property is on the river which was beautiful and a nice touch however the safety of this property is a concern. To begin, the decking was falling through and unsafe to walk. Second, the upstairs attic space with bunkbeds is a major safety concern especially if you have children staying in this area. The railing at the top is completely loose and you will fall if you lean against it and it is a long way down from the top to the floor. The place did have spiders and overall we did not feel that the value of the property matched the amount we paid. I would go across the street to the hotel before staying here again if safety and cleanliness is a factor for you.

WARNING - Avoid this Place

Please avoid using this place especially if traveling with children. I traveled with my wife to visit the park and primarily use this location to rest. Also, we never complain about the places we use during our travels but we felt obligated to WARN others before they/you consider staying at this place especially if traveling with little ones, even if there are no other options at the time you will be traveling. This place is extremely poorly kept; found spider webs on the lamps and walls; extremely loud a/c unit that keeps you up at night; dirty curtains and broken/bent curtain poles; outdoor patio furniture unusable due to being filthy, empty hand soap bottle; dusty everywhere to the point in some areas that turn to dirt. Very old pillow covers and bed blankets. It is very obvious that this company is not concerned with their customers experience!!

A Nightmare

This place is a scam and a hell hole. We knew immediately that everything looked completely outdated, like a crack house or a scene of a murder documentary. There was only one towel even though they knew there were 4 people, there was no way to get ahold of anyone that had anything to do with the property because no one would answer the phone and there were no human beings around that we could talk to. We turned on the water and it would not get hot, there were cobwebs everywhere, there were dead bugs, and a hole in the wall in the closet with a random sock, there was a greasy chair that looked like it was from a yard sale, there was a broken step on the back that I almost fell on because it was completely wobbly, there was trash and leaves all over the roof, the deck and the yard and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned up in about a year. It looked like an abandoned property, but to be honest with you and it was 100° inside I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the air conditioner because it was just one of those cheap wall units that look like it was from the 1970s and it was not plugged in, the yellowed cord was just dangling there. There was duct tape covering the entire exterior of the sliding door to hold it closed or to seal it. That is not the kind of thing you want to see at a property that’s almost $300 a night. My kids and my husband and I were also scared and it was during the daytime because it was so dang sketchy and we had paid quite a bit for this stay so I was looking forward to it. I am 100% sure that they have their friends go on and leave for reviews because most of the reviews on this is not accurate. Please do yourself a favor and don’t read any of the positive reviews because they just are not true. Save yourself a headache and find another place to stay. I have never in my life been a high maintenance person and I chose to leave this property and go get a different hotel because I did not feel safe. They still will not give me a refund even though I had to pay for that other hotel so it is a big headache. Unfortunately these scammers need to be reported because the property is unsafe, and they have no sense of responsibility.
