Very nice Hampton Inn as we expect. Our King room was very nice and well lit. There was a comfortable overstuffed chair with an ottoman. The room appeared to be recently updated. We appreciated the soft-close toilet seat and the lots of cubby spaces to store stuff. There is nothing close by for dining, so if you need to have dinner you will go downtown.

Poor service at the inn
My husband and I booked 4 rooms at this location on 31 July and 1 August 2026. When we arrived at 2:30 in the afternoon, we were told that the computers were down and that they had no way to give us our rooms. So, we waited for an hour in their dining room while we watched 6-8 other people check in and given their rooms. We booked and received our confirmation on January 2, 2026. Our rooms which were booked together, were spread out over the 3rd and 4th floors. When my husband asked why we couldn’t be checked in with the confirmation number, a man at the desk (who I’m told was the house keeping supervisor) stated: “If you don’t like it, you can get the f*** out!

DO NOT STAY HERE if you value the Hilton name brand
if you use Hilton because of the quality of hotel and service, please read this review. Do yourself a favor. DO NOT spend a night at this hotel. My party found the room to be dirty. There was hair on the tub as well as a plastic wrapper which meant the room had not been cleaned. One of the pillowcases smelled of cologne. My party abandoned the bed with smelly pillow, due to it not being clean. In the morning, they went to get coffee and there was none. They went to the front desk to complain about the room and the coffee. The staff openly admitted the owner would not allow them to purchase coffee.
My party asked for a refund for the stay. The staff didn't want to give a refund because "They had been giving too many refunds." the staff openly complained about the Management. They finally gave a refund and my party left with a zero balance. As they were leaving the room, there was a group of cleaning staff waiting to get into the room.
Within a hour, the hotel recharged my credit card. When I called I was told that the cleaning staff had gone into the room and found that it was clean and my party was lying about the hair and plastic wrapper. What they didn't know was that pictures were taken by my wife, so I had proof. They sent me the pictures they took after my wife left the room and sure enough, the tub was cleaned by them, then they took photos.
To resolve this, the hotel promised that I would be compensated with points equal to the nights stay. I asked several times for the name of the manager who authorized the points. It has been six months since the stay and the hotel has ghosted me. I held off writing the review to see if they would have any integrity. They have none. This hotel does not rise to the quality of a motel six. I use Hilton for a specific reason and this makes me wonder of the Hilton brand is going downhill. It's unfortunate that Hilton has no way to file a complaint. They just tell you to talk to the manager of the property. Yeah, really effective when you can't even find out who that is. Once again, PLEASE do not stay here if you value the Hilton brand.

The Hotel Room from Hell. Faulty Door, Noisy
This review is my own personal opinion of this hotel. In my view, this hotel has to be THE WORST Hampton Inn in the U.S.
Two big problems right off the bat. First, the room front door would not close shut; hence, we could not leave the room for dinner after checking into it. Secondly, it turns out that the room was the last one down the hall right next to what turned out to be the Mechanical Room. As tired as I was from driving all day, I had a hard time falling asleep. The noise from the mechanical was a constant, droning, humming noise; it sounded like a faint fog horn warning ships on the ocean, unrelenting, all night long, yet loud enough to keep you awake. It woke me up in the middle of the night and I just could not go back to sleep.
When I called the front desk to complain before bedtime, the hotel manager, Heather, could only offer this simple "solution": "I can give you earplugs!!!"
Unbelievable. How unfortunate and disappointing to have such an apparent lack of care for your customers.
Two of the basic items that I expect and indeed demand when checking into a hotel are peace and quiet, and a front door that works perfectly well as intended. This Hampton Inn failed miserable at both and seemed to show an unfortunate disregard for our wellbeing.
Asked to speak to somebody in charge when I checked out early AM, there was nobody in charge at the time. Front desk staff could do nothing to address my issues.
Once back home. I called Hilton Corporate office to file a complaint. Was given a case number. Sent an e-mail to the hotel manager with my complaints asking form my money back. Four days have gone by since doing that. No response from either, yet. Nothing but crickets.
Never again, Hampton Inn, Pendleton, OR. Never again, indeed.

We did a spur of the moment road trip from California to Montana. We decided that we need to find a room to get some sleep for a few hours. The hotel accommodated our 1 am check in which was nice. The girl at the counter was new and very nice. I did get double charged the $75 incidentals by mistake but by the time I checked out at 11 am it was already back on my card as I was leaving the hotel. The room was nice and clean. The shower felt so nice after 12 hours on the road. The bed was so comfortable. It was quiet and safe. The breakfast was really good and the staff was really accommodating. The only downside is we did confirm before booking the jacuzzi was working and when we went to go use it before we got back on the road it was closed until 2 pm. Overall if I do pass through the area again, I would stay again.
