Wonderful weekend

The entire place is amazingly beautiful. We enjoyed our weekend breakfasts. The location was just perfect for us.

Don’t stay in the Dickens Suite

Where to begin, oh I know, we reserved 2 nights ( non refundable) and only spent one before moving to another hotel.
The Dickens suite is awful. It’s the most expensive suite at the inn and it’s in a dark, dank basement. Tiny narrow stairs get you down to it! You take a dirty hallway to your suite’s door. Once we were in, the room was musty and damp. There was a dehumidifier in the middle of the room but it wasn’t operating because it was completely full. There are low ceilings and practically no natural light. In our pictures you see one dirty window that we had to cover at night.
I wanted to leave, take the loss and find something else right away but we were already late for a meet up and my husband convinced me to stay at least one night.
Overnight we could never get the temperature right, lights from the parking lot were visible and of course the dehumidifier was running all night.
We told the manager we were leaving and she did offer to show us another room but we had already passed on them during the original reservation process so that was a no.
Maybe the other rooms actually look like there pictures, I don’t know, but don’t stay in the Dickens suite.

A beautiful building with incredible woodwork. The bedroom is cute with a comfortable bed, The bathroom for the Jane Austen room is outside of the bedroom. There is no tub and the shower stall is very narrow and need to be mindful of the shower knob as to not hit it with your elbow or back into it. Breakfast was amazing! The staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again over a noisy hotel/motel.

Beautiful property but bed was not comfortable and window curtains did not keep out light, so we were not able to sleep past sunrise. Water pressure was also minimal

room was clean, never saw staff in person spoke on phone, don´t do business, plenty of parking
