Fantastic Family Reunion at Under Canvas Moab
We had 18 family members at Under Canvas for Spring Break. What a fantastic experience! The folks that work the front desk at the Reception tent are knowledgeable and helped us strategize hikes, restaurants and swimming holes. Our tent was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Layers of blankets and duvets to keep you warm and lots of extras. They bring by charging blocks to keep your lanterns and fans charged (for those with sleep machines, they give you a huge charging block that powers it). No wifi so be prepared to completely disconnect. Each night we had s’mores by the firepits and there was live music two nights. One morning they even delivered yoga mats to the Flat Rock area of the camp for us to to sunrise yoga. This is not for those who want luxurious hotel type stay. Most tents do not have bathrooms so make sure you book carefully. No blow dryers. No lotion, but shampoo/conditioner/shower gel provided. We booked the stargazer tent for ourselves which has a bathroom in it and it was wonderful.

Well-Executed Glamping Near Moab
Under Canvas Moab delivers a thoughtfully designed glamping experience in an exceptional setting. The location is stunning, with easy access to the surrounding landscape while still feeling intentional and well laid out.
The canvas tents are clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with quality bedding and linens that make it easy to settle in. The overall environment strikes a nice balance between rustic and refined.
Amenities are a strong point—inviting lounge areas, games, and live music create a relaxed, communal atmosphere without feeling crowded. The grab-and-go food and snacks are convenient, and the coffee is genuinely good (not always a given in remote locations). The communal BBQs are a great touch and encourage an easy, social flow to the evenings.
Staff stands out: consistently friendly, helpful, and engaged without being intrusive.
The only minor drawback is the proximity to the highway—you can hear some road noise at times. That said, it doesn’t meaningfully detract from the overall experience.
Net: a well-executed, comfortable, and memorable stay. Worth recommending.

Tents and amenities are super cool. The views are amazing! Night skies are awesome! The staff is friendly and welcoming. I would definitely visit again in a cooler month.

Glamping at its best!
This was our first glamping experience. We were so impressed with Under Canvas! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The setup of the camp and available amenities were fantastic as was the location, so close to Arches, Moab, and Canyonlands. We definitely want to try some of their other locations!

I vote NO!
During the summer months, A/C or full time misting system should be provided at this location. The tents get very hot during the day. Although there is a very small misting system available, it provides little relief and it is shut off at nightfall. Small batter powered fans are available but do not last all night and provide minimal relief from the heat. It is very difficult to shower, since one must pull down and hang on to a pull that allows water to come out. Water is either cold or scalding. The website states that Moab location has breakfast, so we booked the breakfast rate. Upon arrival we were informed that they do not provide breakfast.
The noise level was horrible from the nearby road and trains. It seemed as though we were in the city. It was not relaxing.
We booked a 2 day stay but left after one day without a refund. We will never stay at another Under Canvas. I have no idea how they receive the ratings that they have….it was NOT a good experience.
