"We had a great stay. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. Breakfast offered a good selection each morning, and the kitchenette was very convenient. The hotel was quiet, well maintained, and in a great location. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at this hotel was fairly ok. The room could have used some more attention as there were marks on the bathroom mirror and the cabinets. The Formica was also damaged on the furniture. I also wished the entire room was carpeted. I had to keep socks on because the floor was very cold.
One of the elevators was not working so I had to wait a while to get to the room. One day both elevators were down and we had to take the stairs. Luckily we were on the fourth floor and it wasn’t too far to walk. The breakfast was ok…a little more than the regular continental breakfast. The staff was friendly and the location was decent enough to drive to shopping centers and the Trenton train station. I would give this hotel 3.5/4 overall.

A good bed and a delicious breakfast, but needs much improvement

I stayed here for several days on a business trip. It was conveniently located*, moderately priced, and included breakfast. Moreover, I had stayed at an Element hotel elsewhere and had an excellent experience. This hotel, however, needs improvement.
*By conveniently located, I mean near the airport and the highway. There is nothing else nearby except parking lots and roads. There are no sidewalks, nowhere to walk or run, no restaurants, etc.
Starting with the good things:
o The staff are friendly, both at the front desk and the cleaning staff.
o The breakfast is excellent. There were many options that changed slightly each day, including a made to order station featuring something different each morning. Included were delicious homemade muffins.
o The gym is very good, with machines in good repair as well as dumbbells to 50 lbs and a workout bench
o The rooms are spacious, with a reasonably sized kitchen area.
o The beds are comfortable with good quality pillows.
o My room was clean
Things that were not as I had expected or was led to believe:
o The pool is closed and has been for awhile by the look of it. There are no signs for it, which makes me think it won't reopen soon, if ever.
o There is information in the room inviting me to "settle in" the lobby for "Relax" which is "complementary evening reception." Although there are water, coffee, juices, and cookies available in the afternoon, there is no reception. Sometimes the coffee was good, but other times it tasted old and weak.
o There is an airport shuttle van, but it never left its parking place. When I inquired about it, I was told it was not running. (I could walk to the airport if there were sidewalks ...)
Things that should be maintained better:
o The room doors have peeling paint and are hard to open and close
o Two of the lights in my room did not work
o The power switch on the stove vent hood was broken
o The door of my refrigerator had multiple dents
o My shower had mold growing along the edge of the tile
o The outdoor landscaping had many weeds and dead plants, shrubs, and trees
o There is an unshielded parking lot light a few feet from my window that lights up the room at night as if it were daytime unless I used the blackout shade
Something that never should happen:
o The front desk made a mistake and tried to assign someone else to my room. That person came in with a key one evening. The manager came to apologize but offered no compensation. The next day I discovered that my key had been disabled in the process, so I needed to visit the front desk to have it reprogrammed so that i could get back into my room.
The hotel served my purposes, including a comfortable night's sleep, a morning workout, a good breakfast, and a kitchen, but many other things were lacking. Better maintenance and management are needed.

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed review. We appreciate you taking the time to highlight what you enjoyed, such as your comfortable bed, the clean and spacious guest room, the breakfast experience, and our workout facilities. It is encouraging to hear our team members made a positive impression and that you were able to get restful nights during your business trip.
We are truly sorry that other elements of your stay did not align with your expectations. The maintenance issues with your room and the overall condition of the property you described are concerns for our housekeeping and engineering teams. We also regret the miscommunication at the front desk that resulted in an unplanned entry into your room and the inconvenience with your key. Experiences like that are not what we want for our guests, and your account will be taken seriously by our Guest Relations team.
The feedback regarding the amenities, pool closure, shuttle service, and the accuracy of information provided will be reviewed carefully so we can address these procedural and operational issues internally. Thank you again for sharing a candid picture of your visit. Your comments will guide us as we work to improve.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place

We had a pretty abysmal experience here over the course of four nights the week of Thanksgiving. The air vent fell out of the ceiling in the bathroom with a crash, which left detritus all over the bathroom. The hotel cleaned it up pretty quickly though! The internet didn't work on the TV so we couldn't use that. The phones were missing parts. We had to move rooms because the door lock kept failing. The lobby is nice, but the rooms need updating, and the carpets look filthy. I will say that Tyler, the chief engineer, was wonderful, kind, and very helpful. Alex, the Ops Mgr, was snooty and officious but did help when pressed. The front desk staff was kind but often on their phones, so not attentive. I will never stay here again.

Disappointed to say that the rooms are looking rather beat up as I have really liked staying here in the past. There was obviously repaired furniture & cabinets, dented fridge, large piece of facing on cabinet missing, hair in the sink & tub. Fortunately, the bedding, towel, & surfaces were generally very clean. My colleague in a different room was disappointed as well mentioning similar issues with her room.
