An Outstanding Stay – Truly Dog-Friendly and Exceptionally Welcoming
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! I’d give it a million out of ten – or 100 stars!
I had an amazing stay at Hotel Wrexham & Savvy Fox Pub. It is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
The location is fantastic. The hotel is situated right on the main road, and there is a bus stop just outside. From there, you can easily travel to Wrexham Bus Station and then continue to Llangollen (Parade Street). On the way back, the return bus stop is directly opposite the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for anyone travelling by bus or train, as I did.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere throughout. The restaurant is stylish, comfortable, and a great place to relax.
Every member of staff I met, both male and female, was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I asked several questions about local bus services, return journeys, and even requested a local taxi number. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were always happy to help with a smile.
The breakfast was delicious. It was simple, fresh, and well prepared, with excellent service.
One of my favourite things about this hotel is that it is dog-friendly. As someone who travels with my assistance dog, this meant a great deal to me. Savvy absolutely loved staying here.
The room was spotless, spacious, beautifully presented, and excellent value for money.
The bathroom was particularly impressive, with grab rails and non-slip flooring, making it safe and accessible for older guests or anyone with mobility needs. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making the facilities comfortable and inclusive.
Outside the hotel there is a large, beautifully maintained lawn and an excellent children’s play area with plenty of play equipment. It is a wonderful space for families, and Savvy also loved the open grassy area.
I genuinely cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Everything—from the location and facilities to the outstanding customer service—was excellent.

Wonderful stay from check-in to checkout. The [room type] was spotless and quiet, the staff were so welcoming, and the location made everything easy. Highly recommend!

Hotel Wrexham, Savvy Fox pub - top notch customer service
Used this hotel as a base for our recent Choirs 4 Good (Pontypridd) trip to the Wrexham area. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. The way the hotel coped with the mass bookings and dinners on arrival for about 22 people was impressive. Breakfast was a great start to each day, though perhaps more staff to accommodate the large influx of people would have helped. I want to give a special shout out to Caroline and the Savvy Fox bar staff and how they accommodated us all each evening in a tuneful sing song. They always had smiles on their faces and nothing was too much trouble for them - the best customer service oriented team I have seen in ages! boy ... do they work hard

A great choice
Had a very good experience here with our choir. We booked 13 rooms, and had very good, attentive service when booking with Steph. The hotel lived up to all our expectations, and we were very warmly welcomed. The food and service in the restaurant were excellent. All the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were all a pleasure to deal with. Caroline in particular worked incredibly hard serving at the bar till late in the evening every night.

40th Anniversary Party and Stay.
We had the big ‘Garden Room’ for our Ruby Anniversary party, lovely location, beautiful place, good size, nice for families as everything contained in the space (toilets etc, great with young children not having to leave the room.) staff were all excellent, polite, helpful and very efficient! The food was great, decent portion sizes and very tasty and everything well presented. Wanted to say a big THANKYOU to Sian Kelly and all the staff for making it a brilliant day. A few of us stayed over in the rooms and had breakfast the next morning, all really good service. Many Thanks to all!
