Great food and beautiful countryside setting

We popped in for dinner on the way back to our holiday home and wished we came across this pub earlier!
Lovely old pub with the best countryside view from the garden.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming, extremely polite.
The food was great and reasonably priced.

Cracking Staff, Food and Price

What a cracking little pub with amazing friendly helpful staff.
We had a pizza one night which was great then the next day we had a carvey sunday dinner which was simply delicious hit the spot.
If your passing through or in the area i could not recommend it more.

Wonderful and welcoming

From the moment we stepped in, we were made to feel welcome. The young barman was very friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much. The food was amazing, I ate the southern fried chicken burger and it was the best I had ever eaten. My compliments to the chef!. If you are visiting Cornwall, please stop here if you are looking for a good atmosphere, a place where dogs are welcomed by all and amazing food that suits all tastes.

Great value, tasty, carvery

We really enjoyed our Sunday carvery today. Beef and turkey were both delicious and plenty of different veg to choose from. Music playing, but not too loud, made for a great atmosphere.

Amazing roast

Booked for today’s first ever carvery at the “engine inn” and oh my god very pleased with the overall experience lovely pub food hot and everything was to hand even catered for my boys which was brilliant. Staff were superb and friendly Definitely be returning for a roast again soon for sure
