The hotel is full of character, the breakfast was really good - vegetarian and meat sausages plus haggis.

Its a reasonably good hotel for one night stay in Perth. I enjoy it being an old fashioned hotel. The lack of hotel parking may be inconvenient to many.

The front desk staff was the best of the stay. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. Parking was an issue, room was not very clean and bathroom shower had very poor water pressure.
The town around the hotel was nice.

If you need a functional place for a night or two, this hotel does the job well.
The furniture and decor are definitely on the dated side, but everything is clean and comfortable enough for a short stay.
The highlight of the stay was the check-in process—extremely fast and efficient. The receptionist was wonderful, incredibly helpful, and went out of her way to assist us.
It’s not a luxury resort, but for a convenient brief layover with great service, it’s solid value for money.

This is a very old, classic Scottish hotel. The front of the building is covered in scaffolding, so perhaps they're beginning some much needed renovations. The staff, including the front desk, bar staff, and breakfast staff, is wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. The location is great (which is why we chose it). The room we stayed in was clean, but the two twin beds had sagging mattresses, and the room was tucked away by itself down a couple of corridors and through a couple of doors. Just an odd layout. The room did have a little oscillating fan, which was very useful. I like a fresh-made full Scottish breakfast as much as anyone, but the buffet-style breakfast here was not great. All in all, it's a fine place to stay, and I hope they're doing renovations to make it a great place to stay.
