Stylish elegance in the middle of the middle of town

In what was the Liberal club in Leeds, built in the 1890s, this hotel is charming and full of character. This charm extends to the staff who provided excellent customer service; we had a
late arrival and receptionist/barman couldn’t have been more welcoming. It’s really convenient central location, 1 minute to station and it’s multi storey car park. The rooms were traditionally luxurious but with all the modern conveniences. A broad selection of breakfasts and a good bar. We really enjoyed our stay and will visit again.

Appearances can be deceiving, leaving sleep deprived

Appearances can deceive, gorgeous interior, warm and welcoming staff, free upgrade, what's not to love? I am partially deaf and could still hear a constant beat from room 201, must back on to a pub or club. I attended the Roundhay festival and was only in the room from midnight to 8am with a very limited sleep for the price, very disappointing.

Fantastic visit

Stopped overnight as we were going to a concert at the Arena. Location is in the city centre near to the train station, shops and lots if restaurants. All staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and seemed to genuinely care about the hotel and our stay. We had booked an executive double room but were unexpectedly upgraded to the Wainwright Suite, room was lovely and had everything we needed. Breakfast next morning was in the conservatory on the 4th floor. We both had the Yorkshire breakfast which was cooked to order and was all quality ingredients. I couldn't fault the hotel at all and will definitely visit again.

Perfect location for the train station and the venue we were attending. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely historic building, well kept and clean.

We arrived very early and immediately the staff put our backpacks into storage - offered an upgrade to a fabulous room and when we returned the bags were there for us. We look forward to staying here again on our next visit to Leeds
