Just what we needed at a reasonable price
Good value for money. The guest accommodation is in a separate annexe, away from the owner’s home. I think that we counted 11 guest rooms, (but it might have been 7, but the number definitely ended in “even” !!). I suspect that each room is either double or twin. Our double room was large, clean and recently refurbished. Furniture was functional rather than luxurious - but that was what we needed and was appropriate for the price that we paid. It had a really good, modern en-suite shower room, a fridge and double glazed windows. The corridor between the rooms could do with some updating – but it does look like the owners have an updating plan in place. Breakfast was a relaxing self-service in a communal kitchenette with cereals, bread/toast, yoghurts, muffins, fresh fruit, teas and coffees. There were 2 smallish tables for guests. That said, I suspect breakfast can be eaten in one’s room, (although any takeaway meals need to be eaten in the kitchenette). There is a large, gravelled parking area.
It was a very quiet stay – but I suspect that we were the only ones there!
Would be suitable accommodation for a large gathering eg extended family or wedding guests.

Cheap accommodation.
Booked two rooms for 3 nights, for 2 employees staying in the area November 2018 for approx £44.00 each per night with a discount for additional nights stay.
Overall it gave them a place to stay that was cheap when there are not many other B&B's in the area.
One of our employees came back and proceeded to show us pictures of his shower which had rather a lot of black mould in and around it. Which wasn't very good so we didn't hear the end of it from him...
He said the staff didn't really do anything about it when he told them...
Our other employee said his room was OK, so it seems hit and miss depending of which room you get.

exceeded expectations
I had a very different experience than I would have expected from the other reviews. I was only there for one night but the room was a decent size with a comfortable double bed.
It has all of the amenities I would have expected and the ensuite shower was clean and well fitted with good water pressure.
The wifi signal was a little weak in the bedrooms but the people were friendly and I felt comfortable browsing in the common areas.
I think there must have been some major refurbishments since the last reviews were written because it was much better than I was expecting.

Not best of british more made in China
You can not argue that this B&B had all the facilities, TV, On Suite, Wi Fi, etc. However, the all round quality was poor. The shower was old and mould was everywhere. The wifi signal was weak to the point of being useless. The breakfast was help yourself style continental, selection poor, but the most distrubing aspect was the cctv camera in the corner of the breakfast room watching your every move. I do not recommend this B&B unless you just need a room for one night only as an emergency.

Thanks for your review. Every item and facilities for the guest use was purchased in England, housekeeping, house maintenance was carried out by local British. The security camera is for the property's safety. The guest rooms have been renovated recently for the more comfortable stay.

The worst place I've ever stayed
This place is dreadful, its next to a main road, my room was bright yellow with cracks in the walls and missing plaster. The shower was moldy and the electrics were a triple socket plug and an extension lead. the whole room and bath you could probably just about touch from the middle of the rock hard bed. Your room key they insist you leave at reception on the counter when you go out so anyone can pick it up and go through your stuff should they so desire. The saddest thing is although the bloke is sour and on the verge of rude, the two oriental ladies are really nice and polite and deserve better.
I can understand the local contractor wanting to stay here as its cheap but its cheap for a reason.
