Peaceful location

We had a very comfortable stay at Errington House. The bed was huge and we enjoyed a very good quality breakfast with homemade and local produce. Handy location for Hexham which is only 15 mins drive while also being in a peaceful rural location.

A true gem .

We found exactly what we wanted in Errington House , off the beaten track giving us peace and quiet with great views to boot.
Carolyn and Lex were so accommodating to us in their home , felt so welcome from the minute we walked in .
Great hosts make the stay and nothing was too much trouble , Carolyn's attention to detail was great , from a beautifully laid breakfast table to booking a taxi for us to visit Hexham races on the Saturday and providing guests with a local guide printout.
We will happily recommend Errington House to our friends and look forward to revisiting as soon as we can .
P.s the breakfast marmalade is home made and is so good we had to buy a jar .

First Class

We spent 6 nights walking Hadrian's Wall and this was the best place we stayed but not the most expensive.
We were collected from the wall, 3 or 4 miles away, and dropped off in the morning.It's a beautiful 18th century house, our room was very big, with the only bath we had that week.
The proprietors are a lovely couple, welcoming and friendly.
The food was good, and pre-dinner drinks in the sitting room added an element of class.
We would definitely want to go again if we were visiting the area.
The only thing that was not quite so good for us was the softer mattress - we prefer something a bit harder. To be fair, this was our experience all week and in many places we have stayed previously.

Walking the Wall

Lovely couple of nights here at the end of our Hadrian’s Wall walk in this beautiful country home . Our hosts, Carolyn and Lex, made us very welcome and were extremely helpful. Food was delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely spot charming service

Lovely spot, stunning location set in the countryside, charming old building done to a very comfortable high standard.
Owners very discrete yet charming and present offering spot on breakfast and friendly service.
