The rooms were totally spotless and looks like they'd not been used since a refurb. Quiet, comfortable, helpful staff. Would definately stay again.

Scenic and quiet.

We stayed for 3 nights to explore the western lakes and the coastal path. The room as such was great, had everything you need including a mini fridge which we did not expect. Saw some reviews about room getting too hot. Ours did too, but we had the option to boost heating or control the temperature on our phone by scanning a Q code. Whilst it worked for couple of days, it stopped working with frost protection error and when raised the issue they did fix it to provide for an hour's heating and then we got the same error! The worst bit was with all windows and door closed, cigarette smoke seeps in the night from the bathroom and fills the entire room with cigarette smoke. With a child in room to have passive smoking wasn't great. Happened for 2 nights in a row. Hence knocked down the review else it's a fantastic location and stay. Lovely for early morning scenic walks
The food was fantastic. Breakfast was cooked per needs from the set menu. Except an elderly gentleman, the staff were all lovely and friendly. Breakfast options were ok if you were looking for english breakfast. No sweet treats in the mornings though :-) . And no hot milk for a warm coffee. We had to have room temp coffee in the morning or pay for a good flat white! No takecaway options for coffee. We had dinner couple of times. Food choice for vegetarians were limited, but we did enjoy the ones we had. Would I stay again, may be if they provide a room upstairs with the nice mountain view and guarantee no cigarette smoke would enter the room. Else, I would avoid.

A very enjoyable stay. Very friendly staff, lovely room, delicious food and a great location. Very comfortable bed and clean contemporary bathroom.

We booked two rooms for one night stay. The team at Kellbank couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
We travelled with our dog and that was not an issue either.
We will certainly come back.
