This hotel is closed do not make a booking here!

We were not informed that the hotel was closed and arrived to find the property all boarded up with a sign on the door with a phone number that nobody answered. It looked as though it had been closed for sometime and yet adverts for it are still on all major hotelbooking sites.

Tired rooms, poor service

We were staying here overnight as part of a wedding party.
Despite knowing how many and who was coming, they managed not to get the rooms people booked and paid for organised. Since most of the hotel was empty, not sure why this was.
Our room was small, dated, gloomy and tired. Overlooking a weed-ridden terrace.
We were supplied with one towel between the 2 of us and no soap. Terrific in these Covid times! The plug in the basin didn't fit.
Breakfast was a disaster. Again, despite knowing exactly how many guests were staying (no-one else was booked in apart from the wedding party) they failed to provide adequate food at peak time.
When we arrived there was no juices (and no glasses for same). No tea/coffee which when it eventually arrived was disgusting and undrinkable (I tried both!)
The cooked breakfast had all but run out and anything left was stone cold (cold mushrooms...ugh!) Everyone was waiting around for hours for more to be brought out. It came in dribs and drabs and we just gave up.
There were no cereals and no bread for the toaster (the wedding co-ordinator seemed to have been drafted in and kept running in with a few slices at a time!) There was only butter, no spreads of any kind.
Absolute disgrace for £95...I don't think so!!
I understand they had been shut all over the Covid period, but if you are going to re-open at least give the guests the courtesy of the service they have paid for.
Fortunately the bride and grooms' day went off without a hitch but don't ever stay here unless you have to.

Terrible communication

They cancelled our event booking and the only way we found out was some of our guests got emails cancelling their rooms.
When we finally got to talk to someone who knew what was happening they said they could of told us 2 months ago, but actually gave us less than 2 weeks. So no time to organise anything else.
Promised a refund with 7 days, still waiting having chased.

Cancelled booking

Booked with Expedia and just received a cancellation email via the hotel with no explanation on the booking cancellation. With such short notice I will struggle to find an alternative hotel! I find this highly unprofessional and will not be booking in future.

small room, dated, dont go if you dont have transport

No food, drinks were available in the evening only. The TV was small and dated. Its a good 10 mins from Chesham and 15 mins from Amersham. No bath and shower wasn't great. No air conditioning so on a hot date it was unbearable. The one member of staff i dealt with was nice and helpful
