We were there for 2 nights B&B. Staff were very friendly and helpful all the way through. Breakfasts were cooked to order and excellent. Comfortable bar area and a great pint of Otter.
Unfortunately, our room, No 1, was less pleasing. The en-suite bathroom was dimly-lit and severely dilapidated - you wouldn't want to take your clothes off in there. Also, there's a plumbing problem, and our room smelled strongly of drains the whole time.
It might be a good idea to call in Alex Polizzi and upgrade the accommodation.

What a lovely and friendly place The Malt House is .. recommend 100%

What a lovely and friendly place The Malt House is .. I booked 3 double rooms for my family to stay one night to attend a wedding in the area and from the moment I phoned to inquire if we could all check in at different times and before the wedding , nothing seemed too much trouble for the efficient and friendly staff. All our rooms were spacious , warm and comfortable with plenty of coffee/tea and hot chocolate supplies . Friendly bar area in which we all met for drinks when we arrived . We came down to a nice full English breakfast and quality cafetières of coffee the next morning , and pleased to find a table had been laid out so that we could all sit together. Would absolutely recommend and revisit the Malt House .

Very quick and efficient check in. Creaky floorboards in bedroom and sadly very noisy guests which didn’t help with sleep.
However barman very welcoming when asked for ice.
Breakfast very tasty although service slow.
