Soviet memories...

It is not a hotel, but a museum of Soviet architecture and history... Time has stopped here!
Rooms are uncomfortable, old carpets and old furniture

Refurbished Legacy of Soviet Times

Its non-descriptive architecture is assuaged by half-a-thousand view from its windows on Ternopil Lake, or Pond. Attempts are made to upgrade the establishment but it is difficult to do given its DNA is deeply rooted in Soviet style, of both management and architecture. So manage your expectations well to get the decent service but in a mediocre ambiance. As for breakfast, with all respect to the kitchen staff, you may go elsewhere as there are plenty of tastier possibilities outside

Vacation room

Bed was a tad bit hard and queen size meant only that 2 single beds were put side by side! Otherwise this was an almost empty hotel with an easy cab ride to the center and nice staff. Nice ambience over all.

What do you want for $32 USD

Old style Soviet hotel. Our room on 10th floor overlooked the lake and had been redone. Bed about average. Dinner was decent with borsch and meat pancakes for about $12 USD for 3 of us. The bed is soviet firm but decent. There aren't a lot of choices in Ternopil but it was fine for a night. No one speaks English that we could tell but we made out o.k. with some Russian.

Great location and that's all

It is may be the best located restaurant in Ternopil, it is near lake and park. If you decide to stay, choose room with sight on lake (higher flloors recommended). But it was not very clean (I saw warse for the same prise but I also saw much better), not the best aromas and very bad breakfast (overfried pancakes, bad sour cream etc). I didn't notice anything extraordinary in service but I didn't need any help and I came in the ight so may be recepcionist was too tired to be extra smiling.
