Very good for price / value ratio and don't worry there are no prostitutes here

Only stayed one night inbetween staying at Ayvazovsky hotel and Londonskaya hotel, in Odessa. Unfortunately gym and pool use is at extra charge at Blacksea (otherwise I would have stayed longer) However room did not smell (unlike Ayvazoysyk hotel) at a similar price and was far cheaper than Londonskaya hotel (pool and sauna use is included here, but breakfast was terrible and is a basic set meal taken at the fitness centre). Overall this was better than the other 2 hotels for price / value ratio. Very central location but about 25 minutes walk from the coast. However I got a high floor room with a fantastic view of the churches and train station etc of Odessa and bed was comfortable, everything worked and was quiet and did not smell of tobacco or sewerage! staff were good, helpful and efficient with no hassle on check or checkout - no grief. Yes English is limited but if it's difficult, you can use google translate , I had no real issues and I cannot speak Ukrainian.

One day in Odessa in the Black sea

The hotel really liked it, I'm a demanding person, but I was thrilled. Booked a room on the morning of check-in day, because it wasn't clear with the itinerary. There's a storage room for luggage. It's convenient to expect in the lobby. The staff are friendly and caring, helped check in early. The interior is modern, stylish, the room is clean, the design is pleasant. A bed of strip satin. Lived in a dauh-bed room on the 10th floor: from the window view of the cathedral and the station, near the elevator view of the city and the sea. Impressions were only positive, highly recommended!

Terrible place, rather stay with the mother in law

So the concise version , the facts
No restaurant so you have to go out every evening
No order at breakfast (long delays) even if you preorder the night before
No water available in your room
No kettle, no drinks at all in your room
Nothing in fridge (mini bar is a luxury but maybe a bottle or jug of water )
Air con unit fizzing and crackling all day and night even though it’s turned off
So so noisy , hammer drilling from 0730
Someone hammering the next day (Saturday) from 0700 in the morning
Children running about (parents didn’t give a s…t until 0200) banging on doors changing rooms and shouting.
Shower sprays out all directions apart from straight down
Shower doesn’t stay on the holder flops down like an old man’s (well, use your imagination)
This place makes the Overlook look divine
AVOID or you’ll be sorry
Ps I can’t upload videos of noise etc but only view from my window

When the regeneration is finished it will be a good hotel choice for Odessa.

The eleventh to eighth floors have been renovated and are in a very good condition. But the unrepaired floors are in very bad condition. It is good for hotel guests to finish the renovation immediately. Because the location is very good Odessa.

Okay Hotel in Town

Unlike other reviews our room was nice, clean and comfortable – may be the room was recently renovated. Housekeeping needs improving – they skip cleaning the room altogether. Breakfast is sub-par and service in the restaurant is very slow and servers are least interested in their job. Check out is a hassle as they have to verify everything in the room to the minute details. Consider Just as a place to sleep, nothing more.
