Peter and his team went out of their way to make us feel at home. They even showed us the local surroundings and wildlife.

A great little camp

A good little camp with nice rooms and friendly staff situated near the start of the Chimpanzee trekking. Lots of great birdlife around there (go past the camp and down into the little valley beyond it to see crested cranes and Blue Turacos). Lots of different monkey species nearby. We really enjoyed staying here.

Medium review

We had high hopes but the stay was disappointing. On the positive side Dennis was genuinely helpful and kind, always doing his best to assist guests. Sadly the property felt understaffed and the organization from management seemed lacking, which showed in slow service, poor food quality and unkept rooms. It did not feel like Dennis had the resources or support to make things work. If you are coming for the staff experience, Dennis is the highlight. If you expect solid facilities and food, there is room for improvement from the management side.

Our chimpanzee tracking

It's a wonderful place. Friendly and caring staff. If you are going to see chimpanzees and other monkeys, then be sure to stop here to rest. It has all the facilities you need for a little stop. You'll be sure to get a good meal.

Great Stay

My stay at little monkey camp was amazing! The rooms are simple but very spacious with a comfortable bed, what more do you need. The outdoor shower was wonderful and it was so lovely to sit on the verandah in the sun with a book taking in the beautiful garden and listening to the birds. The food is delicious and plentiful and uses ingredients from the garden and dinner by the fire each night was wonderful.
What sets little monkey camp apart though is the staff, they took such good care of me during my stay, they are so friendly and welcoming and even took care of my muddy boots and clothes after the chimp trek.
I highly recommend staying at little monkey camp when in Kibale
