Amazing experience

Amazing staff (Habib, Safi and all the bar staff and waiters) who made the experience unforgettable for us. So friendly and welcoming and it was lovely to experience a new culture and country. We had a fantastic couples spa day at thalasso spa for such a reasonable price. The food is always warm and delicious with a good variety of hot food, pizza, salad bar, traditional and dessert. The al a carte restaurant evening was amazing too.
Evening entertainment had a lot to offer although we spent most evenings in the bar or shisha lounge chatting to staff.
Renovation is taking place at the hotel but it didn't affect our stay in the slightest. There are cats and dogs but they're friendly and don't bother you.
The staff kept rooms clean and they replaced our towels daily.
There are a number of pools to choose from and the beach is a short walk from the main entrance. You have access to both aqua resort and Cesar thalasso it essentially feels like the same hotel. But Cesar is more adult orientated Which as a couple was perfect for us.
We cannot thank the staff for making our stay so relaxing and special. We love Djerba.
Hope to come and stay again in the future, Melody and Pietro

Dear Melody & Pietro,
Thank you sincerely for your wonderful and detailed review shared on Tripadvisor
We are truly delighted to read that your stay at Cesar Thalasso was such a memorable experience. Your kind words about our team, especially Habib, Safi, and all our bar staff and waiters, mean a great deal to us. Creating a warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere is at the heart of what we do ✨
It is a pleasure to know that you enjoyed the thalasso spa experience, the variety and quality of our cuisine, as well as the à la carte dinner ️ Your appreciation of the evening ambiance, whether through entertainment or relaxing moments at the bar and shisha lounge, is equally rewarding.
We are also glad that you found comfort in the cleanliness of the rooms, the variety of pools, and the proximity of the beach, all contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay ☀️
Your feedback is a true source of motivation for our entire team, and we are especially touched by your intention to return.
We look forward to welcoming you again for another unforgettable stay in Djerba
Warm regards,
Salem Melliti

Very disappointed

I will not return to this hotel; reviews on TripAdvisor are sometimes misleading. I relied on the comments, which were positive, however.
After staying in many hotels around the world and especially in Tunisia, I was very disappointed with the front desk staff and the management, who did not try to find solutions adapted to my requests.
I had sent several emails to this hotel to inform them of my disability, but no one ever answered me.
The front desk staff and management are not very accommodating, which fortunately is not the case everywhere.
Given the distance of my room, I asked to change; they offered me a room closer, but unfortunately it was worse.
I asked for a room near the pool; they told me I had to pay, even though a family was moved to three rooms for free.
That said, some people asked to change rooms, and they accepted without any problem or extra charge.
I would say it depends a bit on the customer.
The food is good and the staff are very kind; there is nothing to complain about.
However, you should know that if you have trouble walking, you should definitely not go to this hotel or the one next door, the Aqua Resort, to get to the beach. You have to count on a 10-15 minute walk in 113°F heat. It is hard, a real ordeal for me of course, but you have to know that. Our room and all those located in this long hallway are infested with mosquitoes; we fight them all night long. We are attacked; when I asked for spray for the room, I was told to go buy some at the store. That is the only answer they could give me for a 4-star hotel; it is serious.
The bath towels are gray, the bath mats are black.
I asked four times for my safe to be secured, and no one ever came to do it. I was told that it was normal in this hotel, they do not secure the safes. As for the hair dryer, it is more of a hose that blows air than a hair dryer.
The floor was never swept or washed during the entire week; there were bloodstains and squashed mosquitoes on the floor and on the walls.
The bottoms of the closets were all moldy, very damp, and there was a very unpleasant smell in the room.
Very often in the evening, the drinks at the restaurant are not cold and there is no ice.
Same thing for the pool bars, very often drinks without ice.
Not to mention the power outage problems that all tourists experienced in Tunisia this summer very often, no AC, no Wi-Fi, nothing.
The positive thing about this hotel is the tranquility, more or less, at the César Thalasso. Put it this way, you should know that the hotel next door, the Aqua, which is packed, comes with their whole family to the quiet pool. So it is not very quiet anymore.
If you want entertainment, you have to go to the other hotel.
It is by far not the best hotel I have stayed at in Tunisia.

Mimi my dear

I have been staying at your hotel for seven days, thanks to the activity leader Mimi. I have serious heart problems and I cannot take long trips on foot. I wanted to change hotels, but she told me no. She convinced me and told me that she would help me if possible. I would never have imagined that such kind and polite young people could exist. I express all my gratitude to her. And your hotel is excellent, thanks to this young girl, Mimi. This girl is a treasure. I wish all the hotel staff were like her. I thank the person who hired her. She is the only one who smiles and loves her job
