Lovely hotel and staff

The staff is very kind, friendly, and accommodating ! The rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable. The only downside were the stairs getting up to the room, but the climb was worth it to be away from the hustle and bustle of the night life.

Overrated reviews

The view is great, no complaints. The staff also, especially for luggage. The hotel is almost below viewpoint 1.
That said, I spent 2 very complicated nights; you can hear the sound of the beach until 3am (even with the noise of the air conditioning), the bedroom walls are thin (and I came across neighbors who like to chat late at night ..), the air conditioning swings cold air right on the bed, the floor on the top floor is light, so vibrations when your neighbors walk. and to top it all off, charming monkeys who come jumping on the roof at dawn.
I pass on the steps (200 for me), that's not what bothered me the most.

I don't recommend it

Beautiful view from the balcony, the room has everything for a comfortable stay. Although it is small, it is basically convenient. But the downsides are the plywood walls, you can hear everything that happens on the street and in the neighboring rooms. The bed shakes when someone walks in the next room. Unpleasant. And also unpleasant pillows, with an unpleasant smell, as if they had not been changed after other visitors. It was disgusting to sleep on them. I don't recommend this hotel. I think you can find better.

Great view, improvements needed

A few things to note:
Pros:
- great view of phi phi
- lovely staff who were very kind and helpful
- cheap price for room
- close to amenities without being in the middle of the nightlife
Cons:
- TONNES of steep stairs to get to hotel reception and rooms. I am 25 and relatively fit, and these would not be pleasant for more than 1 night. Going up and down them was a task, particularly a few times per day. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or who are unfit.
- Can still hear some noise from town at night unfortunately which interrupted my sleep a bit
- Rooms very basic and quite run down. Hotel in general in need of a refurbishment and revamp.
Would unlikely stay here again, but what you pay for is what you get which is totally fair in this case!

Fantastic stay and view .

Fantastic stay, the rooms are basic, but clean and tidy, we were were in room 13c , 179 steps to our room, which were tiring, but well worth it for the view, and to wake up to monkeys on the balcony, which really made are stay one to remember, would highly recommend if your fit enough for steps, and not after anything to fancy.
