Travel tip when you like a convenience tented camp but not the total luxury one

We had a great experience here! Nice massage, good food, also vegetarian options, hot showers, clean, good breakfast. We did a bike tour. The staff is very friendly and nice. Would recommend visiting!

A shabby disappointment

The setting is described as ‘set in an acacia forest’; this is absolutely not the case, and one hears the nearby ever growing town & its disco from ones tent. The staff are really helpful & one feels sorry for them not having a budget to keep the camp up to a better standard. The food was rather poor (a more experienced cook needed) & dishes just not tasty. However making up our own picnic lunch was a success. The beds are beautifully decorated with good linen & pillows, but this is a most basic camp needing a helping hand.

Lush Oasis in Mto WA Mbu

Spent our last night here, after a 6 day safari. Choose this camp because of flight time. It's on the outskirts of the small town of Mto WA Mbu. The property is a lush garden, with the tents circling the perimeter. Smaller sleeping area in this tent than the other camps we stayed at, but it had a large bathroom area, with lovely screened windows overlooking trees and fields. The mosquito nets were definitely needed here. We had a lovely dinner while watching a troupe of local teens, singing, dancing and doing acrobatics. Only uncomfortable moment was when our guide came back, after we had finished eating and was not allowed to sit at our table, to eat his meal. Instead, the hostess put him at another empty table. Very strange! He did join us for breakfast the next morning, which made us feel better.

Hyggeligt sted

Her er meget autentisk, ingen luksus men der er, hvad man har brug for. Sjovt at prøve for 1 nat, men ikke mere. Ligger flot i naturen. Dejligt lille sted. Man skal ikke forvente det store af maden, men de gør hvad de kan, søde og venlige.

We logeerden hier 1 nacht ... het tentenkamp is duidelijk aan renovatie toe, ritsen om de tent af te sluiten, (apen) sluiten niet af, rits naar sanitair blok springt open, heel kleine ruime om 3 bedden de plaatsen, geen plaats meer om reistas te zetten ( groot verschil met Kati kati en whistling tenten kamp) Wel lekker eten....
