Quiet hotel to relax and enjoy

A surprising positive experience was this hotel with newly renovated, clean rooms. Nothing was missing, good terry towels, comfortable bed, enough large TV and fine Soeder bathroom products. Good thing that toilet and shower are separate rooms, you rarely see.
The food in the well-attended restaurant surprised with creativity and it was all very fine. Breakfast was richly served at the table. What gives the full score is the very good value for money and the consistently friendly staff. We can only recommend this place.

A highlight on our multi-day hiking trip

We were a family of five people on a 5 day hiking trip from La Chaux-de-Fonds to Solothurn. The "L'Etoile" was a very positive surprise. We stayed in a spacious modern and comfortable family room, that included a kitchen and a luxurious bath room. The restaurant is excellent with 13 Gault Millau points. The owner and staff are very friendly.
Overall we were impressed by the professionalism of how this hotel and restaurant is managed. It was the second best place during our trip (beside a wonderful 4-star boutique hotel in a larger town). We we can highly recommend it.

Most memorable lodging of a month-long European road trip! 5+ Stars!

Excellent in all aspects: comfortable, modern, and unique rooms upstairs; inviting, cozy communal spaces downstairs; varied and delicious breakfast; incredible dinner destination; and the most special - the owners and employees. We were 5 family members in town to explore our ancestral villages nearby. L’Etoile arranged three of us in a large room with a kitchen (adding a very comfortable cot), and the other two were in a queen room with a very large walk-in shower and a huge sliding glass door onto a balcony overlooking the village. The breakfast had various fresh breads and croissants (best on our trip), cereals, yogurt, Tete de Moine cheese flowers (very special - go visit the nearby factory!), cheese and meat, and boiled eggs to order - and a different fruit smoothie concoction every morning! Lovely. The restaurant was always packed for dinner, but they saved us a seat each night. One night we ate on the large outside porch in lovely weather. The servers were extremely friendly and helpful in translating their menus (in French). Each night they had a different aperitif on offer, and the meals were delicious - steak, sausage, and (my favorite) the local fish and the risotto! We can’t thank the owners Fabian and Veronique enough for taking care of us, and making us feel so welcome. Our stay here was seriously the highlight of our trip - I cannot wait to return!

Very Pleasent Stay

The Stay was really pleasent and i'd good receptive and humble hotel staff attendees.
Kudos to you De L' Etolie.
The hotel is at a 10 minutes walk or 2 to 3 minutes drive from Moutier loacted in a location surrounded by wonder valley , a small flowing water stream and a beautiful and peaceful village near by.
Very quite and peaceful makes your mind calm and loving.

New rooms and high-end restaurant

The rooms in this rather cosy and small scale hotel , are newly decorated and modern. The shower is big. The restaurant is at the high-end of the (price) range. The breakfast is however rather basic. Free wifi and parking.
