Absolutely awesome.
Sometimes some hotels put superb photos and once there you do not find the same atmosphere and quality. In the case of Hotel Elena Garni, it was completely different. Superb room, clean, with a nice bathroom. The quiet and pleasant setting. I went there on business , I met couples and families, it is really a hotel open to all. Thank you again for the excellent Welcoming.

Quiet but central
Beautiful garden with pool, quiet but also very quick to be in Locarno center, friendly staff and very nice breakfast.
Cons:
Public transport tickets would have been included and also 20% off from boat rides on the Swiss part of the lake - when we arrived we were asked at reception if we want public transport tickets - we weren‘t told that they would be free and included. This would have been mich preferred. If they are included they could already be printed and handed to the guests upon arrival to avoid confusion.

Nice, out of the way hotel
Most importantly for us, they were dog friendly so we could bring our dog and at least one other guest had a dog there as well.. Dogs are not allowed on the large grass common area, which makes good sense. But, you can walk your dog along the road to the hotel and let them relieve themselves on the wooded side of the street.
Also, just about 1km from the hotel is one of the few large, off-leash areas where you can let your dog run and play for few kilometers, which is great. There are signs that designate it an off leash area and parallel to it is a long paved walkway for on leash walking.
Overall it is a nice little hotel in a nice area that we will stay at again when we visit the area.
