Really family and dog friendly!

Very well maintained campsite. Family and dog friendly. You have to accept that and like it. Unfortunately, the pool is very small and in a bad location. As is the playground. The hosts are extremely customer friendly, be it at the reception, in the restaurant or wherever. On August 1st, all camping visitors were offered free rigatonis with tomato sauce, and every child was given a free lantern followed by a tour of the campsite. Where else is that? Very appreciative and generous. The public transport to Losone/Ascona is not exactly generous. It's not the camping's fault.
Recommended for all families, especially swimming in the river!

Terrible showers in a small oasis

I have known and appreciated Camping Melezza for decades. From the times with hardly any visitors to the booming years after the change of tenants, I have followed developments closely. Unfortunately, there was hardly any investment in the showers – or the wrong measures were taken. I simply cannot explain why it is not possible to install a normal shower set designed for camping in the showers. Almost every year there is only improvisation.
The highlight was reached this year with the installation of an additional solenoid valve and a rainforest shower already rusty for installation. That's a real shame, because the rest of the course has developed very positively. I hope that soon a professional will be hired to solve the problem professionally and sustainably, so that the quality of the sanitary facilities finally fits the overall picture of the campsite.

Sehr geehrte Kundin,

Nice, small, well-kept campsite for nature lovers

We spent 4 nights on a rather small pitch, but with morning and evening sun. The road noise is already disturbing, mainly because of the stressful cross-border commuters at peak times towards Domodossala. At night it is quiet especially near the dam, only isolated vehicles that hardly disturb in the well-insulated camper. Basically good, though rather older, clean and functioning infrastructure. Friendly staff, bread service, small self-service restaurant (good pizzas!). Bus stop at the entrance, bathing possibility in the Melezza (pure nature!). Safe cycling to Losone on left-hand side Trottoir possible, then well-marked cycle paths towards Maggia Valley, Locarno, Magadino Plain etc.

Close to nature but not a resting quiet spot

I am very disappointed with my three-night stay at the campsite.
Mainly because of our first night. We arrived on Saturday around 4:00 p.m. and found our pod was right across the street from the restaurant. Unfortunately, this restaurant played extremely loud music through a speaker system, which made it impossible to rest after our long journey.
When we considered asking for a reduction in the volume, we discovered that they were planning a concert. The concert, whose volume was also very high, lasted until 10:30 p.m. This is particularly unacceptable given that the campsite rules stipulate absolute silence from 10:00 p.m.
The next day, when we asked if this noisy event happened every day, we were nonchalantly told that it was an exception for a birthday. I find this very inappropriate and disrespectful to campers looking for rest and tranquility, especially in a place supposed to offer an experience close to nature.
In summary, if you are looking for a quiet place to relax, I do not recommend this campsite. The organization and respect for the rules of silence are clearly lacking.

Experiences at Camping Melezza, Losone

Information for campsite users: Experiences at Camping Melezza, Losone
This year, too, I spent the Whitsun holidays at Camping Melezza in Losone. Unfortunately, I had to realize that a lot has changed compared to previous years. One major difference was the reception. The employees there were very unfriendly this time. I cannot say whether this is due to a change in management or the larger selection of customers that may have been caused by Corona. However, the fact is that the atmosphere and service at reception suffered greatly. Due to this negative experience, I have decided to avoid this campsite for a long time. At the moment, I cannot recommend Camping Melezza in Losone. I hope that the situation will improve in the future and wish all other campers a nice day and a relaxing stay.
