Horrible! Do not go to this hostel!

A shame of a hostel! We got a room in the basement, without heat A6, next to a dirty kitchen, which was wall to wall with our room, so you could hear all the noises. Dirty toilet, I didn't even dare to take a shower. The entrance door was wide open, both in front and behind, at all hours, which did not give you a sense of security at all. The only advantage is that it is very close to the Interlaken West train station, otherwise only minuses! Do not recommend at all!My 8-year-old girl was stung by bed bugs, I think, by some insects anyway.

I did not like atmosphere, our room was dirty and we had bugs (yeah even bedbugs). Walls we’re pretty ligth so sounds can be heard easily, thats not problem but since it’s busy area with other tourists it was loud during nigth and also morning. Pretty much only good thing was that bed was soft but since there were bugs it wasnt that nice but it was cheap too.

Good location

Family of 4. Stayed 3 nights.
Plus:-
Central location near bus and train
Rooms clean beds comfortable.
Minus:
Inadequate ventilation means whole house smells of stale cooking oil. Saw a guest cooking without turning range hood fan on.
Bathroom floors often wet. Flooded one night. Shower curtains and doors not used properly. Need more prominent notices stuck on shower doors.
Bedroom wall was thin. Back of cupboard chipboard, not a proper solid wall. So one night we could clearly hear guests from next room even though they weren't talking loudly.
Kitchen facilities most inadequate. Marco can accommodate around 30 guests but there were only 5 forks and 4 spoons in kitchen! Not many cups or bowls either.

Meh

Many places were about 100 for a cheap hostel privet room. I feel like the staff live here and work somewhere else cuz they're not here if you need them, but I hear them late and early in the kitchen. No common area

Worst place to stay in Interlaken

I didn't even check-in in this hostel. They gave me a room on the 3rd floor and none to help me with the luggages. No lift. The bedrooms were not comfortable and bathrooms were dirty. I pre-reserved a parking space before coming but all I got was a space for motorcycle to park my big SUV. The Chinese owner did not even have the courtesy of waiving off my reservation money. He charged me full even though I didn't stay there because the accommodation was not as advertised.
