No self service laundry. Beautiful and convenient location. Phenomenal breakfast. Sink in the room. No AC. One fan that could not reach everyone. Showers were not segregated by gender. No shelves in the room. Friendly staff. I would stay there again. Please ban smoking anywhere on property. Smoke drifts, even when done on patio

Great spot, lovely views and right by the river. The room in the new block was trendy and immaculate. An easy cable car ride to the heart of town was just a 1 minute walk from the door.

Sweet food!

As soon as I arrived I expected something that would convince me, unfortunately it was not so.
To start for dinner they gave soft pasta and overcooked, then they made you choose the pasta dressing and I must say that I was disappointed when I saw the pesto DROWNED, AND I REPEAT: DROWNED in oil, the LIQUID carbonara!
As a packed lunch we were given sandwiches made don the bread left over from breakfast, not even suitable for a sandwich.
If you don't know how to cook some stuff, forget it!

The hotel boasts an excellent location right by the Aare River and adjacent to Bern’s Old Town, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing or riverside strolls. As a youth hostel, the rooms are simply furnished but clean and functional. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and they offered the option to reserve a parking space in advance. Since we were on a self-driving trip, parking had been a major concern, so having a reserved spot made our stay much more relaxed and enjoyable.

Friendly, comfortable hostel in a great location.

Great hostel! Staff were super friendly and helpful, answered loads of questions about facilities, things to do and how to get around town. Room was comfortable, with a sink and a locker for each person. Great location, just by the river and close to the furnicular which led up to the main shopping street and train station. Included breakfast was great, full continental and coffee machine!
Only complaint would be that the guest kitchen was very limited, only a fridge, sink, kettle and microwave, with no benches or any space to prepare food. So you could heat ready meals and make pot noodles, but that's about it!
