We had an ok one-night stay, although we didn’t really get to see the manor house. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Cozy julbord / Christmas buffet, although only water was included in the price. Breakfast could be better - only cold cuts, bread, cereals and yogurt. I missed some warm dishes like eggs and maybe bacon. Otherwise, it’s an ok stay.

Very nice staff but a bit disappointing that the place looks nothing like the pictures showing on the site. Sure the house is there but the rooms are placed in what can only be described as something that looks like 1970`s school buildings in Russia. Surroundings were nice and the staff super friendly...

This hotel is far from any major city and the reviews in Swedish were damning so we were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the staff and other guests at Akerby Herrgard. We had a beautiful view and enjoyed the short walk to the nearby lake. Nora is a quaint little town nearby with a couple of good restaurants. Breakfast is nothing special but overall the hotel was a great value with loads of charm and character.
