Lovely hotel in immediate proximity to the city centre.

Lovely hotel. The hotel has an older charm. We had one standard room that was large and nice. It was clean and delicate, good beds and the bathroom was of newer standard with what we needed. The hotel is operated by the statt hotel on the other side of the road. Completely easy to check in on the other side of the road. A delicious breakfast is served at the Statt hotel.

Dusty and broken

Booked by booking. Often stay in hotels and often choose those in a little lower and mid-range. This hotel stands three stars.. Have never experienced this before - we checked in late, met with a worn (but ok charming first impression) but the room was a disaster.. smelled old and smoked. Dusty and dirty. Mouldings, under the bed, ventilation - everything! Beds that passed best before date years ago. Top mattress that was broken and without mattress protector. Felt hugely uncomfortable sleeping in that bed. Things in three quarters of an hour and as I said - dirty!! Do not know if we drew a real nitlotte in terms of the room because there are many who are happy with this accommodation. Pointed out my views at check out - actually felt sorry for the poor receptionist! She suggested we talk to the maid... but I don't think it's the maid who's responsible for this! Insert the correct information regarding rooms and standards - make sure to dispose of EVERYTHING broken. The mattress looked like it had been found in a garbage room. Maybe there are better rooms at the hotel, but be sure to close the bad rooms!! The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. And yes, the receptionist was friendly. No, we will not stay here again

Cozy hotel

Cozy little hotel. The room was large and spacious. However, very worn and a little cobweb. But clearly affordable. There was coffee and cake to bring to the room
It is centrally located so there was a lot of noise in the evening and night. Will not be disturbed by it but it was clearly heard tavern music, laughter and talk below. You should keep this in mind when booking at this hotel

We booked a couple of nights at this property. There are two buildings, the main one where the reception is located and another building close by where we stayed the first night. As we arrived on a Friday evening, we had a room on the first floor of the annex which has a bar under it that closes at 2am so we could not sleep until then. We found out that it only closes that late on Fridays and Saturdays so we asked to be moved for the second night. If you stay on all other nights, Sunday to Tue is closed and on the other nights it closes at 11pm so not a huge issue. The hotel needs a bit of a refurb as the rooms are dated and the windows should at least be replaced with double glazing to help with the noise. There is a free car park close by and the town is walking distance.

The hotel for those who do not like to sleep

Good beds and good service. But there's nothing good to say about the rest. Worn and broken. Attention. If you want to get a good night's sleep, you should look around for other hotels. I cannot recommend this and will not visit again. If we had booked another night, we would have looked for another hotel. The pictures do not correspond to reality.
