An experience to remember.

Visited the hotel with my wife, had an overnight stay and spa booked! A wonderful stay! Felt like the hotel was empty! (despite the fact that at breakfast it seemed like there were many guests). There were plenty of places both inside and outside! Pleasant, clean, and mostly quiet, perfect for relaxation.
The room was big enough with those typical low beds that were perfect for sleeping in! (not as easy to get up from the sofa if you have a bit of a belly )
The food was super good! Unfortunately, the chef's skill was not what I expected! He was very nice but lacked a bit of the Japanese smoothness. Almost as if the knife was dull... Something was missing!
The flavors were there, but the little extra was missing. (maybe I'm too picky )
And then we have the massage!!! Wow, what a wonderful end to our stay there!
We will be back for sure!

Relaxation

A very pleasant and relaxing environment but fantastic baths. A stay here provides relaxation and peace for the soul. Good service, nice rooms and good food. One feels like they are drifting away from everyday life. The only negative is the booking page where you have to be careful to choose the right option (package) to be able to book. Several of the options are also similar.

So great! The only minus is that visitors talk so loudly all the time. Would have liked more quiet zones. Otherwise just plus!

Yasuragi kids

Yasuragi Kids - the concept, not worth the money. With a larger child in an extra bed, you are placed in invarooms that lack character and have the world's worst beds, incredibly hard and uncomfortable. Two different pillows to choose from, one way too big or one way too small. The food is ok but not fancy, better sushi you get in town. Had booked 80min massage for myself but I was run out already after 50min when the therapist mistook the time, however, had to come back for the remaining minutes. Not at all relaxing and not worth 1800kr. The spa area is nice but perhaps more for adults than activity-hungry children who want to splash and jump.

Good experience but few good plant based options

I visited the spa with some friends without doing any personal treatments. I really enjoyed the spa, especially the quiet areas so I wasn't always bothered by people chatting and got areas where I could chat with friends. I wish I would have known to book some of the treatments ahead of time. I did a 24 hour reset and the next day everything was booked up. I am also vegan so I struggled with the food options. For two of the meals, I just had the option of some marinated tofu, which was pretty bland. Tofu is actually versatile and one can do a lot more with it than just marinating it and warming it up. It was a little bit disappointing given that there are so many different vibrant meat options. I think for one of the meals I had absolutely no vegan option so I had to go with vegetarian.
Also, I thought the fruit options would be a bit more than just apples and pears and if you wanted to get chips and a drink, it was 50 KR for a small bag of chips, which I felt was a little bit extortionate. In general, I did really enjoy my stay but I think I would probably prepare a little bit better. I hope they look into doing something more inventive with plant based options.
