Memorable Getaway in this Era!

Excellent hotel in the South Coast of Sri Lanka just twenty minutes from the world heritage Galle Fort.
Excellent service under General Manager Nalaka who along with his staff attend to grant everything a guest asks for be it a tasty meal, a minor room matter. The chef is excellent.
Steward Sanjeewa is most attentive helpful and makes ones stay memorable.

Thecroom and the resort is gorgeous but I think overpriced. I paid a lot of money for this resort and expected absolute excellence. The food was very hit and miss however the breakfast was good. First night I ordered barramundi with garlic mash potato, beans and pea ragou. I received fish and plain mash smothered in a thick mushroom sauce. I can’t eat mushrooms so they just scraped it off...
We ordered a margarita pizza (tomato sauce, cheese and basil) and received a curried chicken, corn and some other vegetable. It was all tasty but not what we ordered. The Hawaiin prawns however were delicious.
The staff were terrific and very helpful.
All in all it was great, but a different venue but I feel overpriced.

Terrible old hotel. A con.

A terrible hotel. The price quoted was 550 US per night. This would imply 5* but in reality these people have no idea about running a hotel. We booked for 4 nights but left in disgust. The pool was dirty, the rooms smelt damp, the beach non existant, the staff young and clueless. Coffee undrinkable. Sub standard food. We’ve had two wonderful weeks in Sri Lanka - this place nearly ruined our time. It is a rip off, a con, a blot on the landscape. Just Say No.

Shabby & misrepresented

Not the luxurious boutique hotel we were expecting or had paid for. Disappointingly shabby and unwelcoming. The staff seemed to have been cobbled together at the last minute and barely understood our request for a coffee. Any 5* reviews are incomprehensible - don’t be taken in. This is the first hotel we’ve ever walked out of which will make it memorable for all the wrong reasons.
