Hotel at the Edge of the rainforest
The entrance glass door was broken and only held together with tape. The bathroom was not clean—I even found a bundle of hair on the wall near the shower. The water heater was not functioning, and the sheets and pillows were heavily worn.
In the morning, coffee was served without milk. Additionally, I was overcharged by 2,000 LKR compared to a neighboring couple who paid less for the same room. Overall, it felt as though I was being taken advantage of.
To make matters worse, when I needed a tuk-tuk to the bus station, the owner offered to take me without discussing the price in advance, which made it seem like a friendly or complimentary gesture. However, upon arrival, he charged me more than what I had paid a driver for the exact same route the previous day.
