Amazing view and lovely host family

I'm so glad I decided to stay here. The view from my room was stunning and the hospitality was impeccable.
I've even got a lunch box to bring along when I had to get up early for a hike and coffee brought to my room.
If you're walking the Pekoe trail this place is practically on the way towards the city, so super easy to get to.
The room is clean and bed is comfortable. The shower has decent pressure and hot water.
The location is slightly rural but tuk tuks to town are cheap and easy to get. Personally I was happy just sitting on the balcony relaxing with the incredible view. And piece and quiet.
Thank you so much for everything. I will be back.

Home away from home

I recently spent 5 wonderful nights at Rosenka Guest Inn and could not have been happier finding this gem in Haputale. Owners Shiromey and Jagath could not have been more welcoming, providing delicious food, very comfortable accommodation, advice and guidance on transport and sights to see and loads of fun to spend time with. The view from room balcony is stunning and so relaxing. A 15 minute walk into Haputale or pick the bus up at the front door, a short walk to supermarket in one direction and the same in the other direction to Adisham Monastery, well worth a visit. If you are after all of the above, you can’t go wrong at Rosenka and, I might add, at very reasonable rates! Thankyou so much for your wonderful hospitality, I look forward to a return visit in 2026.

Terrible Experience – Not Worth the Money

This was one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed in. My stay was truly disappointing and uncomfortable. It was a rainy day, and to my shock, water was seeping into the room through the balcony glass, which wasn’t sealed properly. The wind was also coming in, making it even worse.
To make matters worse, water was leaking from the room slab, leaving the room flooded all night. The entire experience was far from comfortable and definitely not worth the money.
I’ve stayed in other places in Haputale and never experienced anything like this before. I have attached photos to show the extent of the issues.
If you are planning to visit this hotel, please be cautious. This could happen to you and cause significant inconvenience.

A welcoming stay

An absolutely delightful and heartwarming experience staying at this guesthouse. We only stayed for one night, but would have loved to stay longer. The rooms were comfortable, well set up and spotlessly clean. The highlight was the warm welcome and hospitality from Jagath and his family. Such genuinely lovely kind people. We had dinner and breakfast there, and the food was outstanding. We would definitely stay here again.

A warm homestay with a wonderful view.

Mr. Jagath knows this business and pays attention to every single detail to make us feel at home. Delicious food, good location with parking. The road leading up to the homestay is smooth. Wonderful view from the room. You can view the sunrise from the room.
