Wonderful
We had the most amazing stay at Tranquil Wild—it truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt warm and welcoming. The manager went above and beyond, even playing a game with our children while they waited in the reception area.
Pre-ordering our meals was a great touch. The food was freshly prepared yet ready without long waits, which worked perfectly with kids. The setting itself is absolutely beautiful, and we really appreciated how accommodating the team was with our dietary requirements.
The entire stay was peaceful and relaxing, with plenty of special moments throughout. The boat trip was a real highlight—our children loved it. The driver didn’t speak much English but he made it incredibly personal by stopping to pick lotus flowers and water lilies, then showing them how to make a necklace. It’s those thoughtful touches that really set this place apart.
The pool was lovely and refreshing, perfect for unwinding. We also booked a safari through Tranquil Wild and were very happy with the guides. It was fast and bumpy at times—but exactly the kind of adventure we were hoping for, especially as our kids loved every second of it.
We were incredibly lucky to spot both a sloth bear and a leopard, which made the experience even more unforgettable, although we understand that comes down to luck.
Overall, I honestly couldn’t fault our stay. It was a truly special experience—peaceful and personal. We would absolutely love to return.

Safari Bliss
Ann was a pretty good friend to us through out the time. The food was in great quality and worth quantities. My family and myself loved the whole experience, specially for the lovely staff who felt like family to us. Consist of nice activities to tryout. Loved this peace ❤️ We’ve already planned our trip back

A Sri Lankan bliss
I can’t say enough good things about our stay at this hotel in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome, and the rooms were immaculate, spacious, and beautifully designed with stunning views of the [ocean/tea plantations/city]. The food was outstanding with fresh local flavors at every meal, the facilities like the pool and spa were spotless and relaxing, and the location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions while still feeling like a peaceful retreat. Every detail was thoughtfully handled and the service went above and beyond, giving us one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka — we’re already planning our next trip back!

A Weekend Getaway
We were three friends, bound by decades of friendship, who had gone our separate ways across the world. This weekend getaway was a chance to come together again—to reminisce about the past, celebrate our enduring bond, share plenty of good-natured banter, and reflect on the special moments that have shaped our lives. We couldn’t have chosen a better place than Tranquil Wild for this reunion. The resort offered a serene, back-to-nature setting, surrounded by lush greenery and a deep sense of calm. Watching the sunrise over the lake was truly magnificent, and spotting peacocks and monkeys wandering through the gardens added a special charm to our stay. The hospitality we received from Anne, the owner, and her warm and attentive team was exceptional. Their genuine care made our experience even more memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone looking to explore this beautiful part of Sri Lanka.

Be careful when dealing with Anne
The owner confronted us, shouting and carrying on when checking out in front of all the staff and other guests, not taking us to a more private place to discuss. Previous to this she told us a big sob story about it being so hard for a woman to run a place when the whole village didn’t want her there. We listened and sympathised.
We disputed being charged for a river safari when my husband was injured by a fall because of her failure to light up the area at the time we were told to meet at 6.00am, no one was waiting for us to go on a boat trip the guide turned up 10 mins late. Needless to say to say we didn’t make the trip.
Threatened with the police and her histrionics in front of everyone.
Bathroom was not very clean, very dirty rusty fitments. Place mats and bedroom linen were quite old and tatty.
