Exceptional service

I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Ella! The location is perfect, with breathtaking mountain views and easy access to the town and nearby attractions. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring.
The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was delicious with a great variety of fresh local and international options. I especially loved waking up to the peaceful atmosphere and stunning scenery.
Everything exceeded my expectations, from the excellent service to the beautiful surroundings. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ella. I will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Scenic View Ella was the absolute highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! If you are looking for a place that lives up to its name, this is it.
The View:
The balcony offers a front-row seat to the best scenery in Ella. Watching the mist roll over the mountains and seeing Ella Rock and Little Adam’s Peak from the comfort of our room was magical. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or watch the monkeys in the trees below. It truly feels like you’re on top of the world.
The Hospitality:
What makes this place truly special is the family who runs it. They are some of the kindest, most attentive hosts we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, we felt like honored guests. They went out of their way to help us arrange tuk-tuks, recommend local hiking trails, and ensure we had everything we needed.
The Room & Food:
The property is brand new and spotlessly clean. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern and well-maintained. We also loved the breakfast—it was fresh, authentic, and delicious every single morning.
Location:
It’s located slightly away from the noise of the main town (about a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride), which is exactly what we wanted. It’s peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, yet close enough to dive into the town’s restaurants and shops whenever we liked.
If you are coming to Ella, don't hesitate to book here. It’s a small, family-run business that puts so much heart into what they do. We can’t wait to come back!

Top Ella Hotel Location

As it was our first time travelling in Sri Lanka via Ella, we had difficulty choosing the “right” hotel, especially in Ella, where they are mainly located on sites slightly distant from the centre. However, what convinced us about Scenic View – Ella was the early-morning photographs of the sunrise views and the surrounding area taken from the property. After that, we assumed the facilities would be standard, in line with other hotels in the area. However, when our party of seven arrived at the Scenic View, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel had only recently been constructed to a high standard, and that the facilities in the rooms and other areas were much better than expected and well laid out. We had a really great stay here. When we arrived, the owner and staff were very friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. It really made the stay feel easy and comfortable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ella who is looking for a quiet, relaxing and photogenic stay.

New hotel with excellent views and very caring staff

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! It's brand new! The views from the balconies of the rooms are delightful, especially at dawn and dusk! Breakfast is good! Not far from the train station waiting for a train ride over the 9-arch bridge. The staff tries very hard, and helps with various questions and requests! Very much liked that the hotel has a normal parking and to your room do not have to perform the feat and risk your life to try to sneak into the room as is the case in many hotels in this location!
The only downside is, it's a little far from Ella, but it's very simple, you just have to take a knock and arrange for the driver to come anytime!

Great.

Travels with his wife in Sri Lanka. Stayed for 3 nights. We're glad we picked this place. Very attentive staff, clean rooms, beautiful view from the window and good breakfasts. Parking was also important to us. Unequivocally recommended)
