An authentic, peaceful stay with exceptional hospitality—Mistara and Manoj made our Sri Lanka trip truly unforgettable.

Amazing! We spent three nights at Mistara in Ella and it was honestly the best part of our whole trip through Sri Lanka. The rooms are perfect, brand new and spotless, each with a private balcony and total calm, and being a bit outside the center of Ella made the whole stay feel so much more authentic. Breakfast every morning was homemade and delicious.
A huge thank you to Manoj, who spent so much time with us. We talked for hours about Sri Lanka and he gave us incredibly valuable advice on where to go and what to see. Dinesh was just as wonderful. They even invited us to join them for the Buddhist festival of Esala Poya Day, such a special thing to be part of.
I recommend this place 100% for its authenticity and the kindness of the people who run it. Thanks to Manoj we discovered so many things we would never have found on our own, and every conversation with him felt genuine and warm. This was the best experience of our whole trip, and we already wish we could go back and spend more time there.

Hands down, the best value-for-money yet luxurious hotel to stay in Ella

Honestly one of the most relaxing stays we had in Ella. We booked Mistara Ella for one night at first, but after the first day we decided to extend for another night because the place was just too good to leave.
Its a brand new hotel, super clean and luxurious rooms. The place is so peaceful. The pool area was great to just relax and unwind after exploring Ella. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming and always happy to help with anything. Another thing we loved was the location. It’s only a short distance from Ella town, so it’s convenient, but still quiet enough to properly relax away from the busy crowd.
Food was also really good with good portions. Overall, amazing value for money and we’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Ella.
