Reliable Luxury

I stayed at Drop Inn for two nights and it was the perfect place to stay for an introduction to Sri Lanka!
The dinner was incredible and home cooked and extremely reasonable. I stayed in the private room which was very clean, with air con and ceiling fan. Staff were very friendly and happy to help.
I would 100% visit again if back in Colombo!

Nice place BUT BED BUGS

Location was good and food was nice and trustworthy. BUT they had bed bugs and they were quite big, seemed like they had been there for a while and when some friends asked the desk they gave them a refund and asked them not to tell anyone. Atmosphere was quiet and in a good area and the bathrooms were clean but for the trouble of getting rid of all the bed bugs and deep cleaning our bags etc, not worth it.

Amazing staff/fresh juice

We had a great stay at Drop Inn Hostel during our time in Colombo. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The fruit juice was amazing and such a refreshing treat.
What truly stood out was how helpful and caring the staff were when I had a severe allergy reaction upon arrival — they immediately helped me get to the hospital and made sure I was okay. Their support meant so much during a stressful moment.
The hostel was also very convenient and made getting around Colombo easy. I would highly recommend Drop Inn Hostel to anyone looking for a welcoming, caring, and well-located place to stay.

comfortable affordable but book Private room if you not into backpacking

Freindly helpful staff. we are not backpackers we booked a private double room with shower aircon and fan. we needed somewhere cheap but nice as a one night stay after arriving in Colombo from UK. This did the job, breakfast availsble although didnt require. movie shwing in evening on projector in gardens which was cute.

Definitely recommended

We were there for a long time and had a great time! The food is great, the rooms are clean, and the staff are very, very friendly! Always helpful and always ready with a tip. We highly recommend it!
