Wonderful stay in a beautiful little casa in the heart of the old town

What a wonderful experience, such a cute little place nestled in the heart of the old town of Xàtiva. Brilliant hospitality and safe place to store our bikes as we were passing through on a cycling trip. Rooms beautifully and thoughtfully designed as well as two lovely terraces and communal dining room where a plentiful breakfast was served. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Xativa.

A wonderful find, definitely recommend and return

We were not sure what to expect from the casa Aldomar when we booked it.
It’s a small and friendly hotel and the owners couldn’t be more friendly and helpful.
We struggled with trains from the airport when we arrived and Ian arranged a last minute late check in and helped give directions on the trains and once we eventually arrived in the town.
We were not disappointed, the room was exceptionally clean, and the air conditioning was a must. It was still 34 ish degrees in the day so a welcome return to the room.
We had a room on the top floor which came with access to the roof terrace from where you could enjoy the views of the castle and the cathedral.
There was a mini bar fridge on the 1st floor if you fancied a cool drink and you pay at the end of your stay, and the occasional beer/ coke was enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the town.
Breakfast is not included when you book, but recommend it. There is get a full continental with tea as well as the traditional Spanish option of coffee, cereal and fruit.
The host Ian would happily spend every morning chatting with us, talking about the history of the town, the area and offering suggestions for days out and places to eat.
Make sure you visit the castle/ fort, and the hotel offer a walking route that you can follow to the castle via the Dove Cave.
For us though it was the host Ian that really made stay for us, it has a real family feel to the hotel and felt so welcome.
We hope to return to Xativa soon and without hesitation, we would book here again.
Thank you so much for making our stay to Xativa so much more than we could have expected.

Perfect

In the middle of the old town you will find this small hotel with a perfect blend of old and new. There are four floors, each with an apartment. After knocking on the large wooden front door, I was welcomed by the originally English owner and I immediately felt at home. I could live in my first floor apartment for a month. Nice sofa, workplace and a large indoor terrace. In the evening you can go to the roof terrace and have a beautiful overview of the old town and the castle on the mountain. Parking in the old town is a challenge and this part is closed to traffic in the evening. That has its advantages, but it also means that you have to walk 100 meters. For people who expect luxury, I would recommend looking for a large hotel. For
for those who are looking for culture this is perfect.

Quality stay in historic Xativa

We have just returned from 2 nights stay here and wanted to recommend this little boutique style hotel to anyone looking for very good value, friendly, charming accomodation. Parking is available for free very close by as Casa Aldomar is situated on a really narrow old town lane. We were greeted warmly by Jose who gave us lots of very useful advice about the old town and its sights. We were delighted to be told we had been given a bigger room of which was In fact a suite with a lounge, large king-size bedroom and a bathroom with a huge walk in shower. This property has been tastefully but simply restored and anyone expecting lavish furnishings should go elsewhere. It is boutique in style with 2 furnished roof terraces as a bonus. The bed was very crisp and comfortable as is important.
Breakfast was such good value at €7. Again good quality ( great tea in a teapot!!) Muesli, yoghurt, fruit, meat, cheese, lovely bread, croissants. In fact our 2 night stay was very reasonably priced for the quality provided.
As we left Jose suggested a route for us that visited a town called Bocairent. What a gem, thank you Jose - it was so lovely and historic.

Great location, brilliant host

This is our second visit and again we enjoyed every minute. The rooms are spacious with good showers, bed and AC. With help from Ian our host we made the most of our 2 days there.
Such a relaxing and pleasant stay with a roof top terrace where you watch the night sky and lights from the castle and Basilica.
From the Casa everything is within walking distance although the castle quite a trek it’s well worth doing. Great restaurants round the corner too especially El Tunél which was probably our best meal ever! Do not miss!
Nothing to criticise!!!
