Very central location, a wonderful big, modern room which was spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful, parking very close by.

Good, centrally located hotel with potential for improvement, especially regarding the room.

POSITIV:
Central location opposite the Alcazar, attractions easily reachable on foot;
Parking garage only 50m away (the hotel offers a parking discount; inquire at the reception before departure);
Very good breakfast buffet with freshly squeezed orange juice, very good coffee from the machine; even salmon and Spanish ham.
NEGATIV:
We booked a room with a terrace and a view. The beautiful terrace had a lovely view of the Toledo Cathedral, but no furniture, no chairs, no table!! Why did I even book the expensive room with a terrace? Use was not possible in this way. The room was otherwise sufficiently large, as was the bathroom. Mattress was fine, clean.
Although this is a tourist hotel, the TV only had Spanish channels, not a single German channel.
The rooms with terraces are not on the level where the elevator stops, but half a floor lower, so you have to haul the heavy suitcases down and later back up; not suitable for the disabled! The staff should have helped here.
The ladies at the reception were rather distant and unmotivated.
CONCLUSION:
Even though the breakfast was very good, the price-performance ratio needs to be reconsidered. If the terrace had been furnished and the TV had at least 2 or 3 German channels, I would have given 4 out of 5 points.

REGRETTABLE!!!! PART OF THE HOTEL COVERED BY SCAFFOLDING. Workers coming and going since 7 in the morning.

Shameful for a 4-star hotel. Hotel recommended by Puy du Fou. We were given a room with scaffolding that covered the entire balcony. At 7:30 in the morning on Friday, June 19, the transfer of workers began, waking us up with tremendous bangs from a wheelbarrow full of debris that was going up and down on a pulley. With a "sorry" at the reception, they resolved the issue. I understand that this is a room that should not be operational given this highly inappropriate situation. Moreover, behind the scaffolding, our balcony faced a private residence balcony where all the neighbor's underwear was hanging less than two meters away... DISGRACEFUL.

Don't forget anything

The hotel is well located, its breakfast is correct, but my low score is due to the fact that we forgot a necklace on a shelf of the closet and called from the train about 2-3 hours after departure, and we are told that until the next day the governor does not relate the forgotten objects, which we call then.
The next day we are told that there is nothing there when a patient mind stayed there, even that the room has not been occupied again. So draw your conclusions

Highly recommend this amazing hotel with a beautiful view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Alfonso VI in Toledo, Spain. Our room was spacious and had an amazing view of the Catedral Primado. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and an amazing automatic espresso machine served up great cups of any type of café you desire. Make sure to take a glass of the fresh-squeezed orange juice; it was divine. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and some of them spoke English. The room and bathroom were very clean and appeared recently renovated. There was a great gift shop next door, and the hotel was centrally located from where we could walk to many points of interest.
