Just the job!

This was the first of 5 hotels we stayed in whilst on a cycling trip around the island. Without a shadow of a doubt it was the warm welcome and the delightful personality of Daniel ( the owner) that made this one of our favourite hotels of our trip. It was nothing fancy but had everything we needed-a comfortable bed, hot shower, room to store our bikes and a tasty Majorcan style breakfast. The surprise arrival of the children’s marching band rehearsing for Holy Week down the street was a delightful surprise!

Perfect night away

A hidden gem in such a beautiful town. All the facilities are excellent. Lovely room with great views. Gorgeous pool with loungers and discreet. Our host was so friendly and prepared a perfect breakfast in the morning. Can highly recommend and we will be back. Thank you.

The real difference is Guglielmo!!!

The hotel is located in a strategic position, as the town of Sineu is located right in the center of the island of Mallorca and this allowed us to visit the entire island far and wide.
The room and bathroom are spacious and spotless.
Breakfast is not a buffet, but it is really very rich, the owner continues to bring small plates with bread, butter, jam, honey, homemade cakes, cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, etc...
But the real gem of this hotel is Guglielmo: very kind, very nice, offers lots of advice for visiting the island and its beaches and is always available for any request.

Disappointed!

We were cold, the cleanliness leaves something to be desired and the breakfasts are very very light!
No buffet to help yourself to, a few fruits, pieces of industrial cakes….
The first morning they forgot we were there, they made do with what was left…
We didn't see anyone at reception all week, but the breakfast person was very friendly and did her best!
The kettle in the room is full of stale water!

Change of ownership at Can Serrete?

Has there been a change of ownership here? In 2024 we had to have partly contradictory experiences: We wanted a very quiet hotel. We arrived late (Wednesday), were greeted warmly and moved into the room. Nice - a little warmer for January would have been good. Then in the night a 'hell machine' started - a pump started working on the upper floor and made 'unhealthy' noise. Sleep was out of the question. We called the phone number we had from the hotel, it was the woman who had greeted us warmly and was part of the staff: it was late and she couldn't do anything. After another hour we were so annoyed that we sent another text message and asked for a solution. We went for a walk in Sineu first. When we came back, the woman was in the hotel and assessed the damage. Great commitment. She said she didn't know whether she would get a tradesman on Thursday or Friday. She would understand if we left. With this statement, we looked for another hotel and left early in the morning. As we were leaving the hotel, we saw mechanics in the hotel. Maybe we would have stayed, but now it was too late. The hotel owner charged us the full price of the night.
