Small Hotel ideal for an overnight stop

Hostal Riano is a small hotel in the centre of this small town, it makes a good stop over if touring the area or as a first or last night stop if using the Santander Ferry.
A firly basic Hotel but the facilities are all good and the service was warm and friendly, its a popular place with Motorcycle tourers which we where on this trip.
There is a restaurant in the Hotel and also in the hotel next door, we ate in the adjacent place and the food was fine, just good wholesome Spanish.
Theres not a lot going on in the town but the location compensates for that.
I would stay here again if touring the area,

Nice basic accommodation

Eduardo and his wife made great efforts to make our stay a happy one.
The rooms are basic but clean and the food was no frills nice.
Great views from the upper floors of this beautiful area about which Eduardo was very knowledgeable.

Out of season value

Touring motorbike trip two of us
Started badly we were thinking ,ringing the door bell over the speaker came the landlord I will be two mins
Booked online 30 euros each per one night on route south after Bilbao ferry
Simple clean accommodation but had place to our selves and tried the restaurant
He called his wife out to cook just for us
Chicken soup then lamb stew excellent two beers each and a bottle of red to share with sweet
TV put on just for to watch English football
Great service very pleasant experience
Best of all bill for rooms three course meal each and accom plus breakfast
120 euros for two
60 euros each great value would recommend as stop over and room over looking lake with snow capped Picos mountains to top it all off
He and his wife thanked us for staying with them they said March is a quiet month for them

Vacaciones

Maravillosa experiencia, es un hostal humilde limpio y comodo, con limpieza diaria a fondo y nos cambiaron la ropa de la cama cada 2 dias de estancia,he leido opiniones con las que no puedo estar de acuerdo pues yo cuando reserve en booking ya me informe de que era un hostal, no el hotel plaza, por lo que no busque lujos que no podia ni queria pagar.
En este mismo pueblo hay hoteles de otras categorias ,logicamente a otro precio, hablando del hostal Riaño encuentro una atencion correctisima y una relacion calidad precio mucho mas que aceptable les pondria una nota de 9.5.
Resumiendo que quien quiera lujos de rico que los pague.

Salvación

Vine sólo a un festival, puente de diciembre y en internet todo con precios por las nubes, me veía sin alojamiento y al final, encontré este estupendo hostal de casualidad... relación calidad precio sensacional. Además no me puso problema en salir más tarde de la hora habitual para conducir agusto. Sin duda alguna me salvó y si vuelvo, repito
