Good Hotel, Good Location

Ski holiday thru Crystal. Ideally positioned over the road from the lifts, though that's not the whole story - from hotel to lift it's effectively 6 flights of stairs - not easy at my age in ski boots and carting skis on your shoulder: oh for a bridge from the 4th floor of the hotel, lol. Boot room is heated and on the ground floor next to reception.
Bedrooms are a little small, but relatively modern and in good condition, with Austrian twins, and decent bathroom. Storage adequate but hardly more than that.
Pool small but nice and an adjacent jaquzzi - the sauna has to be booked (for sole use?) and paid for - very odd for a ski hotel, but first time skiing in Spain.
One of the 2 bars was closed whilst we were there, so the remaining bar could get very cramped. However, the sun terrace was perfect for a quick beer after coming off the slopes - which also finish directly opposite the hotel.
Considering the number of people served, the quality of food in the buffet for breakfast and dinner is pretty good, and there's a very wide range which always included multiple meat, fish, and vegetarian options
However, the breakfast omelete/egg station is an utter disaster, with one cook trying serve everybody. It's either get there at the crack of dawn or wait in a queue for 30 minutes.
On a separate note, the road to Andora from Toulouse was closed, so TUI made everyone, including those going to Baqueira, fly to Barcelona - making our coach trip 5 hours! I would nver choose to repeat that.

Great hotel next to slopes

Direct access to the slopes, treatment of nearby staff, full buffet and sun terrace to finish the day skiing. We would like the keys to be card to make it more comfortable. We'll be back!

Great breakfast, that was the only thing

In a group they put in triple and quite large room a person who was going to single awarding an excessively small room to a couple who needed double room, in addition the latter had a door that communicated with another occupied by unknown people, without any intimacy, since you could hear absolutely everything. When we were asked to change, we were awarded a much smaller one, the bed attached to the doors of the closet, so that practically this could not be used. On the other hand in one of the rooms there was no gel or shampoos and they never provided us, indicating that “the order” had not arrived.
Checking out on the day of departure changes the settlements of the rooms charging the person who was single as if it were double. When we changed the amount after more than 45 min to calculate the settlements correctly, we were charged 47€ each. It was all chaos. It took another 20 min for it to be correct. We'd been waiting for 1.30 hours.
We asked for compensation for the inconvenience of the mistake in the allocation of rooms and were almost laughed at. All this from the hotel manager,

Very good hotel with Great Staff. Amina at the front desk was particularly attentive with us.
The hotel is a short walk away from the lifts and has very comfortable ski lockers on their premises.
I would like to make a special mention to their awesome buffet breakfast. It has something for everyone. And very good taste and quality.
The only thing I could point out, would be the temperature of the jacuzzi, which is lukewarm.

Greta hotel for ski break

Went with daughter, booked through TUI for 1st to 8th Feb, landslide closed route from Toulouse night before we flew so it was switched to Barcelona airport, longer transfer but still ok (road may be closed for a while). Hotel was welcoming, room was great - Austrian twin with really nice layout. Beds comfy and really great bathroom. Very hot! Suspect thermostat faulty but we managed by turning right down and closing bathroom door. TV only had one english channel (bbc news) but didnt bother us. Fridge, kettle and hair dryer in room which was welcome. Room cleaned and fully reset every day.
Great to have pool and jacuzzi with no extra costs (robes and slippers provided). Couldn't get massage but suspect need to book well in advance.
Dining was ok, good choice of dishes but most food was warm not hot. Maybe a cultural thing, but lots of choice. Loved the hot drink and orange juice machines. Good variety of dishes (we were all incl.).
Ski room was good but no boot warmers so took boots to room to dry out couple of times. Suspect ski room could get crowded during busy weeks but we were ok. Short distance from hotel to lifts but lots of steps, you could buy locker at lifts but as quiet we managed from hotel.
Supermarket nearby useful for juice and biscuits etc, didn't explore further as village was mainly accommodation. There was talk about hotel arranging a trip to main town nearby but we skipped to focus on ski time as weather was good that week (Beret area particularly good for us - intermediate/advanced). Ski area was sufficient for us for a week.
Overall would recommend this hotel for ski break.
