Muy bien!

Yet another trip to Madrid and yet another hostal, who for a weekend in August, in the middle of holidays, offered a great price. Central location, on the 2nd floor of one of the classic historic buildings (with elevator). The hostal is run by a very kind family, really very helpful. The rooms (at least, mine) recently renovated: faux wood floor (top for cleaning) and modern bathroom. Finally a real shower, without the bathtub!). Classic hostal room, small but very comfortable for us who were in Madrid to party and so we needed only to sleep and wash.

Lack of cleaning and reception service

There has been my family and I and the truth that the room is fine but there is hardly anyone in reception. The first day we were out from 7h45 to 14h00 and they did not fix the room. When we leave again after 30 minutes we did not locate anyone to warn him. We returned in the late afternoon and he lied to us making excuses to justify the non-compliance of the service and told us that he could no longer do it because he was out of hours. Anyway, not recommended.

Very basic property but expensive for the amenities. Very well located. Staff was friendly but at checkout they didn't want to call a taxi for us. Room wasn't quiet, you can hear conversations from next rooms in the middle of the night. I will not stay again there. Many better places around.

Good but onsult before booking.

Central room, clean and with good service.
My problem was that the room overlooked an inner courtyard and with bars on the windows... both my daughter and I gave us a little claustrophobia... and the night became long. Check before booking... and no, there is no hairdryer.

I love this place, the only disappointment was that they gave me a room of twin beds instead of one double. Everything else was awesome.
