Great location, good value

Booked the Hostal Cervantes for a trip to Madrid because of the location, and would definitely recommend it.
For the price paid, it was perfect. We turned up earlier than we expected, but the room was ready, and we were able to get straight in, and made to feel welcome by the staff.
Location wise, 10/15 minute walk to the Prado, and about 30 mins to the Royal Palace.
The rooms are basic, but had everything you need, and were cleaned and made up each day.
No breakfast available, but there were 2 or 3 places within a 5 minute walk that were very good - Faborit and 100 Montaditos were our favourites.
Definitely no complaints, and recommend it.

Very good value for money

Very central hostal a few minutes from Prado, Anton Martin etc.. Single room with bathroom on the landing (shared), 300€ and some for 5 nights.
At this price, no breakfast but the room cleaned every day, welcoming staff.

Near Prado Museum

A very comfortable hostel with very friendly people, close to everything. We arrived very early and were able to leave the bags, went for a walk and almost unintentionally met the Prado Museum, entered, toured it and on the way out we returned to the Hostel to take the room and rest. Nice experience,

Wonderful Alcalá

I was in this hostel yesterday and I really liked it. Alcala is worth visiting, it has a lot of art and a lot of restaurants and bars.
The cheap hostels are clean and the room is good, the only thing that is a little small but nothing to make you feel claustrophobic.

Pay attention to cleanliness…

The hostal is in a very convenient area, we had a room overlooking an internal courtyard so it was quite quiet, however the rooms are not soundproofed. The staff always proved to be very kind and helpful. Sheets and towels always clean however the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was really poor and remains the only negative note we can highlight.
