Idyllic place to stay in the Picos de Europa

Our host Antonio, who speaks some English, was most helpful during our stay, we particularly enjoyed his freshly cooked local pancakes and mountain honey for breakfast - absolutely scrummy !
There is an "honesty" area/fridge in the common room, where guests can avail themselves of wine, beer & soft drinks, a really nice touch.
Even if you aren't a hiker, make the effort to walk up the tracks behind the Posada, it is worth it for the lovely views of the surrounding moutains and countryside.

Best Inn

Just a special place, the inn itself is charming with sitting areas, terraced back yard complete with ponies neighing. The owners a delight, helpful and I even got a cooking lesson on how to make Spanish pancakes. So calming after a long drive through the mountains. Wish I could have stayed longer! A must place to stay if you are in the area. Claudia

Excellent!

Highly recommend this property is in a stunning setting. Mountain views from lovely terrace. Mother and son are so welcoming and helpful great homemade breakfast-pancakes and honey amazing! Very clean, brilliant location to explore picos.

Lovely peaceful place in the mountains

Absolutely love this place and well worth the drive up the mountain! Love it for the serenity and beauty of the mountains, for the hospitality and helpfulness of the owners and for the clean and well kept rooms and facility. The last 400 m is a steep drive, but as long as you make a left turn after the first steep hill you will be fine ( I made a right turn which put me in a tricky situation trying to turn around). Owners incredibly helpful and nice!

A mountain home from home

A beautiful mountain location. A comfortable large farmhouse with two cosy sitting rooms for guests, and lovely seating outside in the extensive garden.
The hosts were most helpful in giving us details of walks, restaurants etc. Antonio is very knowlegable about the wild life of the area, and is always ready to help.
We were encouraged to have our own picnic meal in the garden in the evening. We had fruit and cheese and ate the Menu del dia in local restaurants at 2pm. This saved us a great deal of money, and we really enjoyed it.
