Good Location and Cozy Stay, but Some Practical Challenges

We stayed at Ostau Dera Nheu during our trip to Val d’Aran last Christmas Holiday and had a generally pleasant experience. The location is convenient, right by the main road, making it easy to drive to nearby towns or ski slopes. Vielha, the major city in the area, is a great spot for dining and is highly recommended. The room was cozy and stayed warm even in freezing outdoor temperatures, which was a huge plus. The shower was great, though the bathroom was small and didn’t have heating. Keeping the bathroom door open helped maintain a comfortable temperature. Free parking was a welcome perk, and the views from the room (though framed by small windows) were quite nice. The breakfast was fair and met our expectations.
That said, there were a few challenges. The stairs to the room were numerous and steep, making it difficult to manage with kids and luggage. While a staff member kindly helped us carry the baby stroller to the room on arrival, there was no assistance when we were leaving, forcing multiple trips up and down icy, slippery stairs on a very cold morning. On Christmas morning, the staff wasn’t present, and while they thoughtfully left breakfast in our room the day before, I would have appreciated being informed of this arrangement in advance. Lastly, while the room seemed clean overall, the area under the sofa and bed was noticeably dusty, as we discovered when our son’s toy cars rolled underneath.
Despite these issues, the warm room, good location, and free parking made for an overall decent stay. However, I’d suggest improvements in cleanliness and communication, as well as reconsideration for those with mobility needs or young children.

Fint sted

Vi kom hit på en Søndag og da var dessverre restauranten stengt. Fikk store , rene og bra rom. Et hyggelig sted i fin stil. Frokosten var over vanlig for vi fikk varmt brød, ost ,skinke og syltetøy. Ligger i passe gåsvstand til sentrum der vi gikk for og spise

Sitio conocido xq pero que va de mal en peor

El caracter de la dueña inadmisible, cerro la calefaccion a mitad comida, al decirselo a la camarera lo enchufo de mala gana, así nos lo hizo notar al tirarnos literalmente la cuenta en la mesa. Pagando 23.50 € el trato nefasto. NO volveremos

Nada del otro mundo

Pasamos unos días y sin más. Necesita algunas reformas, en la habitación limpian lo que se ve, las colchas raídas y con agujeros. La dueña brilla por su falta de educación. Teóricamente es pet-friendly y no pueden quedarse los perros solos en la habitación pero tampoco los quieren en el restaurante. Un sitio donde no volver.
