A handy stop on the road from Leon to Astorga

A clean and comfortable hotel sensibly priced with a great adjoining café/bar. Do not expect dinner to be served until 9 pm though. The food and drink prices are great value and the service is excellent

adequate

it was adequate. Nothing special. Rooms are clean enough although initially had a very strong scent of sanitizer which may not be all bad. My room was in back and it was quite quiet. Wi-Fi is OK. Restaurant nearby is OK. I had a good nights sleep but it wasn't an "experience " in any way. Check in staff was friendly.

Just say no

While the room was cleanish and the location great (right on the Camino de Santiago), this hotel and its accompanying restaurant/bar are understaffed and the staff that we encountered was surly and unhelpful. The woman who tends the bar in the late afternoon should reconsider her career — she’d make a great prison guard. If you’re thinking of booking a room here, don’t.

Comfortable and clean. A bit surreal

Heading out of Leon is a bit of an endurance test for mind body and soul and this place set next to a busy road ,an agricultural supplies shop ,a business park and a closed down knocking shop isn't the first place I would have opted for. Then again...it's comfy,clean and quiet. The Rooms are decent the wif fi is excellent, the A/C actually works very well and it's right on the Camino. The owner was helpful . I wouldn't recommend it for a non Camino stay as Viladango isn't the nicest of places but it served us well and it was comfortable clean ,safe and relatively quiet and if I needed a chainsaw ,an illicit liaison or just liked being within a stones throw of a logistical headquaters then Could recommend nowhere better.

Avoid if possible

Like many others who have reviewed this hotel, i found it to be a bizarre, disembodied arrangement. Nothing points to the hostel next door, you discover it by yourself. The town itself is a stretched truck stop. Walk to the next town if you are on the Camino.
