Excellent clean and quiet stay in the heart of the city

Central, clean, quiet and perfectly acceptable for access to the city centre, Sagrario area in particular. Our host Ignacio was really welcoming and helpful and at €60 for one night it was exceptional value. Breakfast is not provided but there are so many great places to eat right on the doorstep.

El Zaguan is perfect

What a wonderful place in which to stay. Absolutely perfect. Very friendly and helpful owners, beautiful garden patio, immaculate rooms, convenient location for exploring Granada. Simplicity at its very best.
Just a couple of minutes from Ugarit restaurant. What more could one want? Extraordinary value for money.

More than exceptional!

Everything wonderful: the kindness of the staff, the extreme willingness to meet requests even if not always expected with impeccable smiles, the cleanliness and heating of the rooms, the location of the strategic structure, adjacent to the main streets. Location correctly marked also on Google Maps.
Very satisfied, I recommend it!

Awful place, impossible to get any sleep

Stayed here for several nights and the room was tiny with no space for anything but the bed and one luggage suitcase. The front door has no key, you have to ring the bell or knock every single time you enter. The hosts were simply incompetent. The A/C unit stopped working and after trying different remotes, the owner's response was "Sorry". Um what? I'm paying $70 a night for absolutely decrepit and decaying accommodation and you can't even fix the a/c or offer another room? Dark, dingy, horrid.
Another issue was since this is basically a personal home, the "reception" is in the feont area of the 1st floor and all the noise travels up to the rooms. Every time someone enters (there was an extremely loud and raucous child of one of the guests) all of the guests can hear the noise. Owners inconsiderately engaged in lengthy conversations with incoming guests at late hours while others were trying to sleep. Disrupts sleep when people return late. The walls are paper thin. I could hear neighbors blow their nose and use the bathroom. Disgusting.
Worst part of my trip to Granada. 1 star for decent location. Would not recommend at all, not worth it. Do not stay here.

Recommended but smokers

I stayed for a long period so I got a nice price. The building is located in a preserved aerea and the building is historical too, so rooms are in general small but cute. Nice windows, fine toilet. The staff couldn't be nicer - my shower broke and was immediately fixed; I was given extra heater for the cold; tips everywhere; carrying heavy luggage up and down and daily good cleaning. All with a nice smile. The only thing that really bothered me was the regular smell of smoking - somewhere nearby people smoke in different hours. My room was facing the backyard, where I think smokers go. Also on the weekends guests can be noisy, but it was still ok. Recommended.
