Charming Boutique Hotel in a Great Location

Hernan Cortes is a beautiful hotel in a great location in Gijon with a boutique feel. The nearby public parking was easy to use and not too expensive (relative to hotel parking in other locations). The rooms were clean and spacious and we had a nice view of the plaza below.

COULD BE MUCH BETTER.

I have spent 3 summers (22 days each year) in a Suite; the furniture (sofas and armchairs) cannot take it anymore.
The minibar inside the wardrobes, wardrobes that do not close.
The breakfast is very vulgar, year after year it is not renewed and it is repetitive.
Otherwise, location, cleanliness, and staff are excellent.

One of the best in the area.

Very central hotel, just a few meters from the Jovellanos theater.
It has 10 floors and two small elevators. The rooms are spacious and kept in good condition (perhaps the closet doors need some touch-up). They have air conditioning units and the cleanliness is satisfactory.
For breakfast (14 euros), it is preferable to go out, as there is an abundant offer.
The check-in and check-out was very easy, and they provided options to leave the luggage before and after.
Compared to other nearby hotels, it is among the best I have stayed in.
