A very well run and clean hotel. Perfect for families

The staff are absolutely wonderful, so helpful and happy and really make a big difference. The hotel is clean and well run, and it’s perfect for what you pay for.
Cleanliness is very very good, there are always staff cleaning. I bumped into Viorica in reception, I apologised for walking over her super clean floor and she gave me a big hug. What a gorgeous woman!! The toilets everywhere are spotless
The entertainment was great for kids and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
You can reserve sun beds for 30£ a day or you can get them early doors which just comes with the territory of an all inclusive in my opinion.
In short this hotel is a very pleasant hotel for families with fabulous hardworking staff just trying to make sure we all have a nice time. Thank you Tropical Splash

No magic here.

Where do you start. Dont go to this hotel. We get to the hotel. It’s late. We’re allowed the left overs from tea. Which is next to nothing. No information and no help getting to the room. Just pointed to lift. There a time table to the dining You have to get in first before all the stuff gone and it’s has no real organisation. U can’t have a coffee at dinner. The chairs rip your skin from your legs as it’s outdoor furniture…9am is when the pool opens.. (get ready for the queue and stampede as people run out to secure beds they won’t use. If u dont get a pool side sun-bed. Then u have to lay on the fake grass area. It hits the sun all day. But at 5pm you’re told to leave the area. Because the kids club is starting. They offer no alternative and if you’re lucky u may get a single sun bed to put towels on. The air con is terrible. We had a tower fan put in our very warm room (which was dirty) and threw dust everywhere. The hair dryer smelt like sick. The cleaners dont change the bedding only change towels if u put them in the bath-. The rooms are outdated and the furniture is falling apart. Pillows are falling apart the stuffing is gone. The beds creak if you roll over during the night. The double bed is two singles. The lifts are always busy as the cleaners use them while they clean. And one lift breaks constantly trapping family’s inside. (30mins later) and the maintenance man opens the sweat box of a lift and helps you out. Half way through the week the maintenance got sick of coming out to get family’s stuck in there so they put a 3 max people sign on the lift. We got stuck on the 20th floor!!!! It was very unsafe and it was very scary u can see the damage and even the hotel checks say that the lift isn’t to a good standard. The other hotels kept dropping people off. Because u can visit other hotels. Which means you haven’t got a chance in getting a sun-bed or decent food. We paid a lot of money for the holiday and I was so disappointed. Paying for everything is expensive too. Towel hire, safe box, the special sun beds are £30 euro a day. Staff are rude if your English. The hotel isn’t kept clean. I watched a staff member mop a toilet floor then the same mop to clean sick off the dining floor then she wheeled it into the kitchen… then about 20-30mins later that same mop cleaned a small drink spill. Its the same mop each time. Leaned against the bucket. Maintenance say the wifi works but it only works if ur in the dining area or pool side. We asked for the wfi to be checked in our room. And they said it was good. We were on the 20th floor so it never worked. I didn’t like the entertainment. Some guy on a stage with lots of plastic tubs with snakes and turtles in. Look a snake.. look a turtle… that was his act. He lets the kids touched the snake. But if u want a picture with it it’s 20euro. (X2) pics. Each act came with a price. I won’t go to the brand of hotels again the share holder need to visit and actually see what’s happening. And I think all the family’s who got stuck in the lifts should have some compensation. The beach is nice but busy. And the weather was nice.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are sorry your experience did not meet your expectations, and we would like to address the points you've raised.
Regarding dining, what you refer to as "leftovers" is our late dinner snack service, a small selection kept available from the end of dinner service until 23:45 as a courtesy for guests arriving late. As it is a courtesy, it naturally does not offer the same variety as the main dinner buffet.
On arrival, all guests receive full information at reception, along with a map and welcome letter, and there is also a sign in the main hall indicating the status of each tower. Our staff are always available and happy to help with any questions during your stay.
Regarding sun loungers, we have over 900 sun loungers, beds, and Balinese beds available, so queuing is not necessary. Our Guest Service team is on hand in the pool area to assist, and towels left on loungers beyond the time limits displayed on our signage are removed accordingly. We would have been glad to clarify this policy had we been asked.
Housekeeping staff work until 3:00pm, and official check-in time is 17:00h, though we do allow guests to access the room and facilities earlier whenever possible. Bed configuration is listed on our website prior to booking. If the pillows were not to your liking, alternative firmness options are available on request. Balinese beds carry a charge unless the premium service has been booked; towels and cups are provided free of charge with a deposit.
We take the lift issue you describe very seriously, and we're sorry for the distress this caused your family. All lifts are maintained by an external certified company, checked daily, and any incidents are attended to as a priority; we will ensure this is reviewed further with our maintenance team.
We're glad you enjoyed the beach and the weather during your stay, and we hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future.
Kind regards,

Take note if you are visiting

Easy jet & Magic tropical splash
All was fine with the flight and crew all nice and welcoming. Once landed in Alicante was a bit of guess finding the right coach as couldn’t locate a rep. Turns out easy jet use beniconnect. So Beniconnect, the driver didn’t speak English, and that’s okay why should he. Found him a bit rude though (found most of the Spanish rude throughout our visit tbh which is something I hadn’t previously experienced visiting Spain). The coach was then full as we we were the last on other passengers took up more seats than needed which meant our family of 5 was split up and I ended up standing in the middle stairwell of the coach, driver didn’t check passengers were seated seemed a lack of care tbh just glad the 5 year old got seated. By now you can see where this review is going. So we get to the hotel, check in and are told room such and such on the 18th floor. That didn’t go down well as when we booked through an independent travel agent they requested for us to have a low floor. (Apparently happened to a few other guests). After a bit of back and fourth we ended up on floor 5. Perfect we thought now let the holiday begin. Certain aspects of the room were dated and/ or poorly repaired, there was no hot water, cold showers everyday. Pool was great, as were the slides, only downside was the height restriction kids under 1.2m couldn’t use the bigger slides. Despite the early morning sun bed queues never struggled to get a sunbed. Facilities from pool to communal toilets were clean and well kept, can’t fault that. More complaints inbound I’ll keep it short as I can… the food was okay decent enough and a variety to choose from.
(All inclusive plus - Italian restaurant pizza better than normal restaurant, carbonara was the same though. Pirates restaurant was good. Didn’t make use of the beach bar as never went to Benidorm. Natura zoo and water park. Did them both on same day can get round the zoo in a few hours then spent the rest of the day in the water park was good fun, again only down side younger kids below 1.2meters won’t be able to go on the bigger slides wouldn’t even let you go down in tandem with them.)
Family’s of 5 if you are trying to get a taxi book with the hotel and have a plan for getting back from wherever it is you go. They will not take 5 people unless a bigger vehicle had to split up into 2 taxis to get back so double the cost.
Around the hotel and shows…
Kept the kids entertained. Didn’t really rate the Michael Jackson show, was overhyped and MJ can’t be replaced by a guy who loves himself lip syncs, he can dance but the same moves on repeat. Parrot show was alright, not paying 20 euro per photo though.
Reptile show was on our last night. We left early as my 5 year old was sat/ stood nicely waiting yet other children and even parents don’t seem to have that decency she was shoved and nearly pushed over I had to shout at somebody and pull her out. The security weren’t doing there job and crowd control was poor. No thought for spectator welfare.
Another thing to note lifts are slow and a little temperamental at times. Wasps and bees tend to come out later afternoon and into the evening around the pool area and outdoor show area.
To be fair on the resort of Finestrat the beach was lovely and clean/ tidy, even manned with a lifeguard, and there was plenty of shops bars and restaurants, even a market just make sure you bargain with them.
I wouldn’t go back to this hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback from your family's stay. We're sorry to hear that several aspects of your holiday did not meet your expectations.
We're glad to read that you enjoyed the pool, slides, and the cleanliness of our facilities and communal areas, and that the food offered a decent variety, particularly at our Italian restaurant and Pirates.
Regarding your room, please note that a low floor room type can only be guaranteed when booked directly as such at the time of reservation; requests made afterwards through a third-party travel agency are subject to availability. We always do our best to accommodate these requests, and we're glad an alternative was arranged for you in this case. We have also noted your comments about the room's condition and the lack of hot water, and these will be passed on to our technical and housekeeping departments for review.
Height restrictions on our larger slides (1.2m) are set by the manufacturer, not by the hotel, and are applied strictly for the safety of younger children. That said, we do have other slides and water attractions specifically designed for children who don't yet reach that height, and we're glad the wider water park and Natura zoo still provided a fun day out.
We were concerned to read about the incident during the reptile show. Guest safety and comfort during our shows is a priority, and we will be reviewing crowd management at these events with our security team.
Regarding taxis, this is an external service independent of the hotel, so we're unable to take responsibility for availability or vehicle capacity, though we understand the inconvenience this caused for a family of five. Your comments regarding lift performance and evening insect activity near the pool have also been noted and shared with the relevant teams.
We're sorry your overall experience fell short this time, and we hope you might reconsider giving us another opportunity in the future.
Kind regards,
Management Team, Magic Tropical Splash

Great stay

Great stay in a good location at a fantastic price point
I’ve seen so w negative reviews on here but most are written without considering how much you have paid and where you are.
Cleanliness is great, we were upgraded to a top floor suit which was amazing.
The lifts had been a massive debate the truth is this - if your in block 3 & 4 you are fine if you are in block 1 &2 they are a nightmare for the higher floors. We were on the top floor of block 4 and never struggled.
Restaurant was really good, expectations are this is a 4 star hotel, it has a buffet and there are areas that change every night but some things are available every meal
Like a salad selection etc. some complaints around this but these days most 4 star hotels are like this for food. There was actually a wide selection of food.
Pirate restaurant is for lunch only and we found it good.
Diet allergy and gluten free - one of us is gluten free we asked for assistance and they provided us with a tour and then offered to cook dishes separately including pancakes, toast, eggs and chips etc. couldn’t help enough- again it helps to ask.
Pools were clean and the slides were really good
We went ultra all inclusive and got the trip to Robin Hood to watch the show, well worth it.
Ultra also got us access to the games room, we went every night before bed, this was the highlight for my sons 10&13.
Overall your in Benidorm not the Maldives (I’ve been there) and this hotel at this price is exceptional value, was a great visit and well worth it.
Would 100% go again!

Dear Colin,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and balanced review.
We are delighted to know that you and your family had such a great stay and that you appreciated the cleanliness, your upgraded suite, our pools, slides, restaurants and the Ultra All Inclusive experience. It is especially rewarding to hear that your sons enjoyed the Game Experience every evening and that the Robin Hood dinner show was one of the highlights of your holiday.
We also sincerely appreciate your comments regarding our gluten-free options. Our team always strives to accommodate guests with allergies and intolerances, and we're delighted that they were able to assist you by offering personalised alternatives. Thank you as well for pointing out that, whenever guests have specific dietary needs, we encourage them to speak with our restaurant team so we can provide the best possible service.
We also appreciate your honest comments regarding the lifts. We are fully aware that, during peak occupancy, waiting times can occur in some areas of the hotel. For this reason, we are continuing with an extensive lift modernisation programme to improve both reliability and guest comfort.
Finally, thank you for recognising the value we aim to offer. Providing memorable family holidays at a competitive price is exactly what we strive for every day.
We truly look forward to welcoming you and your family back for another fantastic stay.
Kind regards,
Management Team

Stayed in: Jun 2026

The hotel rooms were too old and some parts were broken. The beds were too noisy. The window was blocked. We found one cockroach in bathroom. There was no blanket on the beds and when we asked for it, they bring old blankets without bedding. Overall no good maintenance of the rooms.
